People seem to think you live in some amazing land where the humor is amazing and more highbrow than all American humor ever. These same people also forget that they also have accents specific to their country and the area(s) they have lived in. Many of them also tend to think that there is no American culture whatsoever and that whatever we do have is shitty or something? Dunno. So, you know. It's so easy to overlook the vast differences in cultures across America because there are a lot of places people don't go. I challenge anyone to tell me that southern Appalachian culture is even anywhere near the same as what you'd find in New England or in southern California or wherever the hell. It's totally cool to be interested in the cultures of non-American places, but it really irritates me when people dismiss the entire United States as a wasteland. It's not like I'm dismissing other cultures here, don't get me wrong, but the entire "The USA is completely devoid of culture; let's go to England" bullshit is getting really, really annoying. It's a little stupid and unworldly still, considering you haven't looked past your own culture's goggles enough to realize that YOU ACTUALLY FUCKING LIVE IN ONE. AGAIN, because people here don't read sometimes, it's cool to be into the traditions of other countries, maybe even okay to be into them more than your own sometimes, but you should not be dismissive of where you have come from. That being said, I can't wait until I get to study abroad in Turkey. NAO THATS SOME REAL CULTURES LOL

i went to a party last night and at first i was scared but then there was pabst so we drank and we were drunk and we all talked all night and everyone was super cool and i was the second youngest there and this estonian girl with an english accent was there but she didn't drink beer but she was cool then when we all went to sleep i slept in some guy's bed who wasn't there and it was stained and gross but i was too drunk to care then i woke up at 8 am and tried to get a ride home with the guy who invited me but he was like "no man i gotta pee and you live in the opposite direction i'm going" and i was like kay and i walked like 1 1/2 miles home still drunk and kind of confused a lot then i slept until like 1 through all the church bells in the morning but it was fun 10/10 would play again

A lot of the doctors I've seen have completely disregarded the things I've told them regarding medication or what I'm feeling, so it's refreshing to see a 3-year medical student still concerned with the effects of medications. I think some doctors and med students might lose concern along the way.
