General Chat: Setlist
Just wanted to point out --- Chris said there was going to be another mini-acoustic set within the show.

which X&Y songs will last on to the next tour?
I'd say Don't Panic and Yellow will both be played, all four singles from ROBTTH and X&Y, and I'd say, depending upon the style of opening song from the new album, Square One or Politik will probably be eliminated, and unfortunately I'd go with Politik, simply because its older. Other than those singles, they will probably load the rest of the show with new songs. Look for about 19-21 songs in the set, and please god, let's hope they keep the acoustic set, I'd like to see Fix You acoustic, that would free up the last song in the encore for a song on the new CD.

The Twisted Logic Tour Sucked
Well, when you think about it, they only had two albums to work with on that tour. X&Y had many good songs that could have been played, so obviously the shows now are going to be directly off the CD's more or less, as they don't have the room to add b-sides to their set. And for those who complain about the "short set", try choreographing 17 different songs perfectly and then perform them over and over for 2 years straight, and then maybe you'll see why they have such a "short set". mc_squared set it best, some people are never satisfied.

Next dates?
If they are touring in France it won't be until the next tour, after this tour in Aussie/Japan, the TL tour is over for good.

Twisted Logic
For any of those still in doubt, I've looked at every single set-list since they started even promoting the CD. Twisted Logic is the only song off of it that they have never performed in a live performance.

Martin expected for 4th Coldplay album
Oh please, as soon as that CD comes out and we hear it, is anyone really gonna sit there and say "oh how I miss that piano"? It's Coldplay people! They could play with maracas and tamberines and it would sound like a million bucks (or Euros...I hope thats alot of Euros).

Best "Bridge" In A Coldplay Song?
If the "bridge" in Talk actually counts as a bridge, then it's gotta be my favorite, especially the lead-up to Jonny's amazing solo.

For me, the Tweeter Center gig was better for a few reasons: - First of all, it was the second show on the tour, so no one really knew what to expect set list and performance wise, so it was more suprising. - Set list featured Low, The Hardest Part, and Everything's Not Lost - There was alot more dialogue at that show, where as at this one, when they did talk, it was before the acoustic set and during songs. - The Tweeter Center was a much better atmosphere for a Coldplay concert, as the sound (naturally, its made for concerts) is much more crisp than Verizon.

Some things that were actually worth mentioning that I didn't (I was out of it because of the show.) - A couple of people brought a bunch of 3D glasses for one of the floor sections, so during Talk, instead of grabbing a cell phone, Chris put a pair of those on. - They did the "birthday" segment for Guy before Till Kingdom Come, including the big chair. - Funny moment at the end of Yellow: Chris sat on one of the balloons and "humped" it to the ground until it eventually broke and he fell on his ass. Good stuff.

Just got back from the show. I liked the August show at the Tweeter Center better, but still a great performance. Nothing special, really. Ashcroft played tonight, he had a 7 song set list, ended with Bittersweet Symphony, crowd ate it up. Coldplay came on, did their business, said he was shocked with how good the crowd was given it was Manchester, NH. Nothing beats honesty, right? Actually he originally did the shout out for all of the New England states, New Hampshire last but not least of course. Set List was the same as usual, no How You See The World Square One Politik Yellow Speed of Sound God Put a Smile on Your Face What If Don't Panic White Shadows The Scientist Till Kingdom Come Ring of Fire Trouble Clocks Talk Swallowed In The Sea In My Place Fix You

Getting excited to see Coldplay again. Haven't seem them since last year in Mansfield, MA in August, and the set has changed a bit, not to mention I hear they have improved the lighting (which I thought was great anyways.) I'm bummed to see they have stopped playing How You See The World, as I was really looking forward to seeing it live. Oh well, anyone else in here going to the show? Only four days away now...

Changes for Toronto DVD
You know, the more I think about it, if by some chance they WERE to do a double encore, maybe, just maybe, for that second encore, to close our the show, Twisted Logic will finally make its debut. Coldplay likes irony, so who knows.

Changes for Toronto DVD
Well, based on the cities who have gotten two concerts so far, they have done something a little different each night. Examples: one night, they play SITS, the next, The Hardest Part. Given the fact that The Hardest Part is going to be a single soon, I'd bet that they might elect to use that presentation on the encore on the DVD. Also, while many are already chalking "How You See The World" up as the next "Moses," don't forget, during those shows, they also added One I Love and See You Soon. Given the fact that they have already have 18 songs in the set, I'd only expect one b-side added (if that), and it would probably be something new like Proof or Pour Me, two songs they know have gone over well with the diehards. I mean I personally wish that they would add the nice suprise of playing the original version of Talk instead of the one we all know, because not only would it add a nice touch, but for the fans who haven't heard it (the majority), it would give them something new, and they could hear what could have been if the world wasn't so accessible to internet leaking these days.

Changes for Toronto DVD
Yeah, that may be a little too drastic, considering they want to keep to the tour, but, if they wanna model it based on the Live 2003, they could make some interesting changes, like: - play an additional b-side towards the beginning, like Pour Me or Proof - for a nice moment to add to the DVD, they should play the original version of Talk - of course, can't close the DVD show without Life is for Living
