The white CD's cost a lot. And I think no one ever really knew that they were just the cd's given with the LP, not a promo CD.

Gatefold still doesn't necessarily mean it includes a CD btw

The VLVODAAHF vinyl has a version which includes a CD version. But not all of them. So be sure to check. There is no Prospekt's March vinyl version with CD included, they're all vinyl only

^ The seller works for Oxfam. He gets his stuff from the record label to sell and profits go to Oxfam. So at least that's some money well spent, right? :p I wanted to go up until 150£ as I've never really seen one online before, but I'm not furious that I didn't get it. Did a lot of good buys lately, so I'm not complaining. Oh and talking about all the high prices: I think it all started with Christmas Lights :p Suddenly everybody thought that the promo's would be rare as hell so the first 20 or so are always sold for mad prices. The Christmas Lights promos still go insanely high, and let's admit that there are rarer release that go for much less money.

I just noticed that the 3 of us have been here (on the board) for a loooong time! And we all have low post counts (compared to some newer members that is :p) Does that make us lurkers or hard core? :p

Where did you find them? Virgin KCRW for a fiver? That's crazy, haven't been able to find one under like 100$, so it's still missing from my collection atm :p

Yesterday I bought my 240th Coldplay music item: I went to a CD store and like always, I check the Coldplay section. Saw the MX vinyl and normally I just skip them (I already have the EU pressing and that's what you mostly find here), but this time I checked the backside and it was Capitol pressing! It was cheaper than the EU pressing :p It's usually that kind of items I lack in my collection: shipping from the us for a 12" is a lot unless you can buy all the albums on vinyl at once, but then it's like $100 for them all :p

They should teach Phil to play the keyboard. He's already accepted as the 5th members by the fans..

BTW, anyone have the catalogue number of the Paradise US promo? (the one in the regular CD case)

You can try other online stores like eil, gemm, musicstack,... They are very popular at the moment so I think your best shot is still ebay. They'll drop in price for sure the next couple of weeks, but not lower than 20 -30 €. I bought my US promo copy off eil.com (for about 20€) as soon as I saw ir. It's usually an overpriced website, but they have loads of stuff and if you subscribe to their mailing list, you regularly get codes for 10% off, or free shipping to be used on top of monthly discounts, so every once and a while you can really do a bargain there. (But the Charlie Brown promo's are currently sold out)

For now, those are the 3 confirmed. I don't know if there are 2 EU versions though (Clear and White CD). I bought the US one on eil.com so maybe you can 'request next copy' there? Or just wait for it to pop up on ebay..

Question for website purposes: is there also a clear CD Charlie Brown promo? I have only seen white CD ones, but Paradise and ETIAW both had different version. Anyone ?

I could use them all :p I only have this Charlie Brown release (didn't come on Ebay yet, I bought it from eil.com for about 20 euros or so, quite a bargain) , I have pictures of the japanse ones, but not very good quality, so scans are always welcome ;-)

For the ones interested, I have scans of the Charlie Brown US Promo (Cardsleeve). Haven't seen it for sale on eBay yet, so that's why I'm showing them.

I think Paradise just speaks to a different kind of people, new to Coldplay. And apparently, they all have iTunes :laugh3:
