When I first heard Coldplay, I actually liked the music first. I usually listen to the band's music BEFORE seeing what they look like, so it's always been about the music. If they're gorgeous on the side, then it's just an advantage. I enjoy Waking Ashland, for instance, and their lead singer has the ugliest eyes I've ever seen. They're all... bulgy and gross. But I like the music. If people like a band simply for their looks, I think that makes them superficial. I've been about the music for a long time, and having a crush on Chris is just a side effect of that. And I used to think none of them were attractive. Now it's like, "Holy crap! How could I think that?!" But I think it's because, having listened to their music, I see they're great people, so their inner-beauty kind of shines through when they perform. That makes them absolutely GORGEOUS to me. Another good example is with Keane. I used to think Tom Chaplin was hideous and now I think he's absolutely adorable, or Tim Rice-Oxley. Same thing. I hate people telling me I only like a band for their looks. That's not true. I listen to the music and THEN the person. (The one case this isn't true is with Sondre Lerche, but that's cuz I liked the song in the music video as well as his looks.) (I sound so un-me up there. >>; ) (...long reply. Did anyone actually read that? Lol!)

That's what I was thinking. I don't think he would act like that normally. He's quite a good actor. He had me convinced.

I've been a closet fan of Kanye since I heard "Heard 'Em Say" because anything that has Adam Levine in it wins me over. If he collabs with Chris, I might flip. Oh, and he's coming to Bumbershoot this year. My brothers are going. I may or may not go with them. You don't see too many characters like me at a rap concert. I might get, I dunno. Trampled. XD (And my brothers would be crushed if they learned Chris Martin likes hip hop. :laugh3:)

Sigur Ros' music is incredibly beautiful. It's hard not to cry. :c I don't know if he was in on it. If he was, he's a pretty damn good actor! If not, I feel so bad for him! But it's still hilarious. :laugh3:

I don't know if this has been posted or not before (I tried searching the forums, but so many threads to go through) so if you've seen it, sorry! D: I just thought it was HILARIOUS. I hope most of us know who Ali G is. He's a British comedian whose real name is Sacha Baren Cohen and he is an absolute riot. He has three personas: Ali G, the wangsta guy who is incredibly dim, Borat, a Khazakistani man who has his own TV show: Borat's Guide to America, and Funkyzeit Mit Bruno, more commonly known as Bruno, a gay, fashionable German. Anyway, for MTV, they got Borat to come in and steal Chris Martin's pants ("trousers"... I can't get used to saying that, LOL!) and put them on a little boy. I don't know whether or not Chris was actually informed this was happening, but for those Chris lovers on the boards: you get to see him in tighty-whities. Aside, it's a great video. It sounds like they're aiming for a piano-less Parachutes with more meaning. It sounds so intriguing, but I'll still be upset without pianos. :c Chris Martin is like, the whole reason I play piano anymore.

:c I was just thinking that. I'm horribly excited for the new album, but I heard a rumor through the grapevine (the grapevine being a few friends of mine) that Chris Martin said there was a possibility of no pianos in the new album. Can someone shed some light on this? The source was not able to be reached and as for me, if it's the truth I'm more than a little angry about it. Pianos are the groundwork for Coldplay, am I right? ANYWAY, pointless rambling aside, if someone a little more well informed could maybe confirm the rumor true or false, it would be great. I want to act for my career. I've been in every play at my school since 2nd grade, I even wrote one in 5th grade. Now I'm in high school. I'd say I can act decently. I have to be at least a good actress and funny to be on SNL... (my dream.) O:

Hello! My name is Sigmund. Well, actually, it's not, but for right now, let's just pretend that it is. I'm a freshman in high school and Coldplay has been my favorite band for not quite one year (this summer!). I've attended two of their concerts and had a blast at both... and Chris Martin really is my hero. (Along with Tom Chaplin. But this isn't a Keane forum!) Contrary to popular belief, I am indeed a girl. My favorite Coldplay album is Parachutes. I'm not saying that I don't like their new stuff (anything and everything by Coldplay is brilliant!), I prefer Parachutes because not a lot of people I know know about it, and the music is darker. (Spies always gives me the tinglies.) Anyway, I hope to make friends here! I'm honestly no good with forums, but I'll try to keep posting. :) Thanks! -Sigmund
