  1. Sometimes the bands don't even have signature Coldplay items: Chris' falsetto, piano, increasingly catchy guitar riffs. It makes you wonder, "Was this person purposely mislabeling this to piss off Coldplay AND Creeper Lagoon fans or what?" :laugh3:
  2. My reaction exactly. I downloaded a song called Ballad of the Soldier's Wife or something because Limewire said it was Coldplay, but it was like... a live recording of some other band.
  3. More reason to love 'em, eh? It's always good when bands don't make you feel inferior to them and they're willing to be nice. :D
  4. One sec... let me go through my YouTube thing. - Chris Martin imitates Justin Timberlake. - Live video of Michael Stipe and Coldplay doing "In the Sun" (which is, IMO, awesome.) - Jonny goes Jazzy (riotously funny!) - Chris Martin... dancing and of course, the INFAMOUS NAPPIES VIDEO http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcLnPGFjuSU Those are in my favorites, so
  5. I have a friend who saw Bono up close. Her dad didn't believe her, but she recognized his glasses. In Chicago or somewhere, I don't know. O:

Ahh, coldplay_slash @ LJ. Hey, when you're in the mood for it, you're in the mood for it. :3 Mpreg, mansex, eloping... It has everything! I can sleep at night now!
  7. Sounds like something I would do. Actually, it was odd. A few days before the August show in Washington (attendeeeee), I was standing on a corner downtown and this guy ran up next to me and stood at the edge of the corner. I was like, "?" and I could've sworn it was Chris Martin. He ran away once the light changed so I had no idea if he was or not. I'm almost sure he was. But the guy at the U District Apple Store said that they walked in a few days before the January Seattle show and gave him a VIP pass or something. =wishes she'd been there= :c
  8. The Sun has false information... Michael Stipe can't steal Guy's wife because he's gay. O: He can steal Guy's wife's husband instead. :laugh3: THE SUN HAS ITS FACTS WRONG?!!! THE WORLD IS SURELY COMING TO AN END.
  9. I didn't bring a camera, all I brought was a pad of paper and a pen for the set list. Last time I brought a camera to the White River show in Auburn, all of them turned out really bad and I cried about it. :( (true story! 8D) But we can share experiences too. How 'bout when Chris pulled Jonny down onto the ground? :D
  10. You > the world. Allow me to be the first to grant you the "Official Pwner Badge".
  11. I think it's genuine too, because I do it with my writing. "It's awful omg! I hate it! D:" But people enjoy it. And people have said above me that he doesn't print his lyrics, which is true. (I read that Rolling Stone article. About eight trillion times :laugh3:) He compares himself to others a bit too much. It's sad because he's so amazing. f'real.
  12. Well, I think the song is about love, as most songs are these days. Again, it's all about interpretation, but I think he's saying, you know, "We're together in everything" or something like, "You and me [should be 'I' but we'll let Chris slide!] are so happy, we're just in our own little world" hence why they're drifting on a tidal wave, or going into outer space... to be alone. Personally, if it is about the end of the world, it's very un-Coldplay. Their songs aren't as sad as they're made out to be. Most of them are about how great it is to be in love.

Hey, people interested in the X&Y codeletters Someone at Coldplay@LJ posted this really awesome link: http://homepage.mac.com/wysz/xy/coldcode.html You can enter any word and make your own X&Y album art. It's really cool to do your name. Just thought I'd share. >> =off-topic=
  14. I think it's more an element of romance than the end of the world sort of thing. I think if you're looking for deeper meaning, you'd find the romance, but if you're looking at something for a literal meaning, you'd get this. All about interpretation, I guess. o_o;;

    Wrong forum?
  16. Ahahahahaha. Chav. That's pretty much the lamest insult I've ever heard in my entire life. (I may be American, but I'm a complete and total Anglophile. I'm up with most British slang.) A chav is like a complete wangstahprep. Which... is like saying Chris = 50 Cent. =rofl=
  17. Agreed. I could die happy after that. :D
  18. I would love to hear a studio version of Ladder to the Sun! Alas, I must make do with these bootleg recordings. All of my friends got upset with me because I kept asking them why they thought Coldplay hadn't put Ladder to the Sun on the Hardest Part single. :]
  19. Arm and a leg... and my spleen. I can live without a vital organ. I know I can. 8D And it's for the best cause in the world.
  20. Personally, Keane and Coldplay sound NOTHING alike. People tell me all the time, and it gets aggravating for the fans to hear them compared. I love Coldplay more than Keane, but Keane is my second favorite band, so I'm a huge fan of both... Tom's voice sounds more youthful than Chris', but that could be because he looks like a 12 year old boy... ;D
  21. That sums it up nicely. We can't forget that EMI are also the culprits in forbidding the official release of Chris Martin on The Streets' track Dry Your Eyes. It's a BITCH to find! It took me days to find a high-quality version on the internet.. all the places I went to didn't exist anymore... x-x; It would've been easier if EMI wasn't so anal about this shit. FREEDOMMMMMMM! =Mel Gibson facepaint=
  22. True, but the part that always gets me is the instrumental at the end of the studio version. I always get really overwhelmed when the instrumental comes on, with the drums and the oohs and stuff. 8D
