I think Coldplay had the opportunity to at least be as innovative as Radiohead when releasing X&Y. But they decided to play it safe and make an album that would sell a few million copies and enhance their global image. I long for a Coldplay to prove me wrong and experment a little with their next album. But as long as their music is selling, I don't see it happening.
