  1. "useless"? Charming. I hadn't seen that. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but now maybe you can see what I meant by people ironically commenting. So it's ok for someone to call me useless but I can't suggest someone take a wristband off. And you wonder why I hate forums and we closed ours down. Time to log off.
  2. I'm glad you mentioned that because that is EXACTLY why I answer what I answer. I did not write that - Prospekt (RIP) did. x
  3. By the way, you're probably thinking... "6976?! There must be a decent question in that lot!" I haven't time to play this game but I bet I could tell you what more than half of those are asking. I could probably say that three quarters of what's left will be of a personal problem nature. I'd wager there's very little that cover the can answer and not been asked before category. I am sniffing them out but as I say, there's a lot. x ps No, I don't need help to read them thanks! pps I want to log out now as it's late...
  4. I can't lie - I hate the idea! Ha ha. It wouldn't necessarily work either: I would avoid such a thread like the plague & as I get sent hundreds of questions I can't go through looking for "the one". It doesn't matter if you all send the same question IF I haven't answered it before so again, it's down to you to just ask what you want to know. If people really are wondering the same, I'd hope they'd just send it in. (SEND IT IN!) I think this site is amazing and what a great community to have but I don't really want a Coldplaying question of the week or to see "the general public" as that; they're fans too. I don't fancy making exceptions to how it works for one group of fans over another or for any to be sent in anywhere else, just via the Oracle form. It's a case of ask, gets read, considered and answered / saved for later / deleted. It takes a long time to do this process and there are currently 6976 in the bank! Please bear in mind sometimes I cannot answer. For example, your one below - I have been asked lots about the Charlie Brown video and have answered Qs about it but I CAN'T tell you when. I know but that's not how it works. That's what Anchorman is there for. It would get boring to say "I don't know" to a lot of other questions too so I simply don't answer. Did I cover everything? I'm not sure so if I didn't... let me know? x
  5. Spookily just noticed that Notting Hill is on TV right now...
  6. By the way, I hate to sound like an egomaniac or anything whilst quoting from Notting Hill but "I'm just a girl"... you don't need to feel any honour whatsoever when I reply. Why would I not? I feel privileged (regardless of some comments in this thread) to have this amazing job and I get some brilliant letters from fans so I don't want you to think I am any different to anyone else. x
  7. It's nice you took the time to comment at all, thanks. I personally don't see why people should or shouldn't bug me with anything to be honest though. Anything is fine with me. I have on one occasion received hate mail (about a homosexuality Q) and sometimes horrid slagging ones about other people. When I try to reply to those it's no surprise their emails bounce back so I wonder if people are pulling my leg sometimes. I find it entertaining to have some seemingly irrelevant or daft questions in the mix too. If you go back to week one, I'm pretty sure there was one about why glue sticks to the inside of a tube. Anyway, let's see what people come up with. x
  8. Hmm, well did it occur to anyone that The Oracle was asked to answer non-Coldplay questions? Always better to get clarification. Also, if you knew how many questions of a personal nature get sent in, I think there'd be a case to say that many love it and find it more than fair. As you don't see the Coldplay related questions (not thousands) that get asked, you don't know what they are and why they might not be getting answered. So, maybe those who don't like the non-band related ones, it might be an idea to come up with really different, interesting, exciting, new and fabulous shiny Coldplay ones. The personal ones are staying but it'd be great to have more band ones. Just saying. Get your thinking caps on or I'll have to start sending some in ;-) Ooh there's a thought. x
  9. If you are regular readers of the Oracle section, the sarcasm and 'rude' jibes are consistent and not new. They're never down to bad mood/ grumpiness. Quite simply they are to liven the place up and have a laugh. If anyone feels like it's at their expense, they have yet to say. If any one else thinks so, that's as free a thought also. Sometimes those comments have a warning of tone and/or content. Perhaps the easily offended should stop reading at that point. It's not meant to offend. Rather than litter Tash's thread - ironically - if anyone has a problem, perhaps the way to express it is in an email directly. All opinions will be read and taken on board but changes will not necessarily be made - that's not the reason behind this post. Thanks. [email protected]
  10. I have my sad face on. I know it was bound to happen and people may think I am being unrealistic but hey, as a cynic I'm embracing hope. Obviously I completely understand that the majority of people would want to listen to the new album by any means possible even if that's not what any artist would want. But a leak? It's so sad that someone has decided to get it out there with only a week to go. Downloading it is er, also illegal but... with a mere 7 days to go, it's like ruining Christmas. I was hoping if the inevitable happened, it wouldn't be being pushed, promoted and shared. I was hoping for solidarity to keep it under wraps for 7 days longer. I swear that I have never listened to a leaked song - unless it was to check on a Coldplay one for work - as I love feeling part of a band's plan. I like the excitement of release day. That's why I posted this link: http://bit.ly/njXx1b Just wanted to share. x
  11. Thanks to everyone who was trying to find it online. x
  12. Happy birthday to me!! :D Click "listen to mp3": http://kiwi6.com/file/930k7y2tha
  13. What, a Coldplay album release not enough of a present???;)
  14. Ha ha, maybe!
  15. Thanks everyone for your help. The dude on YouTube didn't get a full version of song but... I have asked HQ and it just so happens that I can get a copy. Yay. Thanks again. x
  16. Ha! Thanks. x
  17. Pretty sure he's day after. Mine was yesterday.
  18. Thank you! x
  19. Oooh I need that dude's full version then! Thanks for that. x
  20. Ha ha ha! That is pretty bad isn't it? But I could just about hear it. I got a text last night saying, "don't answer your phone when it rings". The call was at start of the song. I couldn't hear a thing of it on my answer phone you see, that's why I am looking nice clear version of it. Chris wished me happy birthday around the 3 minute mark. I got 3 shout outs apparently!
  21. Hi Guys If anyone has seen footage from last night's show, specifically Politik, please could you post a link to it? Thank you! x
  22. Let's meet back here on October 24th/25th... x
  23. Thank you. Going to docs tomorrow. :-(
