  1. I'm finding this thread interesting. I'm sure people would have been miffed if there had been no new songs played at the festivals, no? And whether you hear them now for a few months or get the album... I'm assuming we're all going to be playing it over & over no matter how or when? I know I personally had a lot of people tell me they were impatient (in the nicest sense of the word of course) to hear new material and can't wait for the album. I know it's not necessarily the usual way to go about things but hey, the industry has changed and I for one have loved hearing new songs and seeing them live (and finding YouTube clips). It's certainly helped pass the time while waiting for the album's release. x
  2. Hi everyone, Hope you're all well. Before I settle down to a weepy movie, just thought I should let you know that actually the album isn't finished so tracklisting and title have not been decided yet. There are still various contenders for album title. I know it's torture but I promise there'll be an announcement coming soon... Oh and also, we've never heard of the artist Mylo (or his swastika!). He's deffo nothing to do with the album. x
  3. Hi Is anyone still having problems with the site? We've been looking into it but it all looks fine from our end. If you can let me know which browser you're using: Safari, Firefox, IE etc. and what problems you are having, it may help us to get a better overall picture. x
  4. What I am saying is ETIAW may or may not be on the LP, but it is still a single so that makes it the first single to be released. Look up the definition of 'single' and I think you'll understand my point. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Single_(music) It says: " In most cases, the single is a song that is released separately from an album, but it can still appear on an album." What I said about your Cartoon Hearts was that I chose that to be the first single (again, nothing to do with the album which is not relevant just yet).
  5. Eh? Not necessarily. Not yes, not no. A single is a single... Christmas Lights was a single.
  6. I agree with the respect thing. I am all for people having their own opinion and researching their facts to back up some statements but to be called a "fucking moron" quite frankly is unnecessary and I do not appreciate being called names. There is absolutely no need for people to be so rude to one another. I recall having the same problem on our official forum years ago and bullying etc. which is why I closed it. People hiding behind usernames and screens thinking it's ok to slag others off are cowards. I wonder if they behave like that face to face in the real world? Good luck with that... (Sorry to be so off topic). x
  7. Aw that's lovely Ian but you don't need to (and shouldn't have to) apologise for anyone. They're clearly not going to but it's not down to you. Thanks though. x ps And people wonder why I shut down our forum ;)
  8. I'm sure that it won't be long before a setlist pops up but I'd rather not be the one to give song titles away. Hope that's ok. Having just seen someone call me a fucking moron in another thread I think I may just give this whole thing a wide berth if I'm honest. Sorry. x
  9. That was my choice for first single but it's not called that... I'm pretty sure I can't tell you what its name is though.
  10. Please look up the actual meaning of sample regarding music as this is not an example of sampling. And they didn't need to ask for permission they volunteered credit. x
  11. Well I had never heard either song and only heard the '76 original in the studio as point of reference (erm, and it's just a couple of chords). As for the other version. never heard that until just now. Not strange at all. Look at the history of music...
  12. I haven't read past first post admittedly but for your info guys: Chris was inspired to write Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall after hearing some chords in a nightclub scene in Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu's film Biutiful (2010). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biutiful The chords in the film are part of a track that is based on "I Go To Rio" written by Peter Allen and Adrienne Anderson, released by Peter Allen in 1976. YouTube it. It's way before the clip being banded around and... the song HAS credited the ORIGINAl composer (Allen, not the latter dance tune).
  13. Bit disappointed. 14. Wow. Shocked. Cos "hate" is strong word... I LOVE the song and did instantly. Poptastic, Perfect jump to up and down at festivals song. Totally unbiased opinion I promise... My favourite ever Family Guy episode is about to start so need to watch that to make me feel better for negativity.
  15. Must be as I'd rather be a comma too...
