  1. I share the same publisher and at the moment a few books are delayed for various reasons so hopefully it's still coming but it's been put back for now.
  2. NB: Approved does not mean the same as Official...
  3. 'Roadie' is not an official Coldplay book though and has nothing to do with the band. Don't know where you got that "promise" from?
  4. Actually you're not right there. Nelly is Portuguese but she sings in Spanish. FACT.... The Oracle isn't ignorant on such issues and is aware of the sensitivity.
  5. Miller's first name isn't Sean...
  6. Chris didn't date Natalie, or Nelly for that matter. Nor did either of them turn him down!
  7. That doesn't ring any bells.... I collected 3 more from PO Box today, 2 from one person in Mexico (sent 15th Dec) and one (posted way too late) from Canada.
  8. Are those War Child pics yours? **lolo**
  9. Iron Maiden's, erm, mascot. He's very scary and he featured heavily in their acceptance speech - as he does in everything they do!
  10. Funny you should say that cos I am always saying how Gary Barlow is in my top 3 of the most faultless voices live I've ever seen. (Tom Chaplin & George Michael being t'other 2). It was only at the end I noticed as I spent the first few minutes shouting at the television about how stupid they looked - I mean those tops, glasses and hairdo's... awful! - asking if it was taking the mick out Of Robbie's alleged interest in aliens, or whether he was about to jump out of the spaceship and the cost of that set... etc etc I think you get the idea!
  11. Or E) It's a great single and they have good support..... I go for E. Cheryl may be ITV payrolled but the BPI and phone voters are not....
  12. I didn't, no. I knew they'd have the War Child gig on their mind. I know they'll have been disappointed but also happy for the particular winners. It's hard not to win but I think they had a feeling from the press reports beforehand so I guess it wasn't a total surprise!
  13. So.... at least they were beaten by Elbow which is better than Kaiser Chiefs last time. I think the Brits are weird. They have no problem with voting Coldplay Best Band and Album the first two times they were nominated but then they must think "hang on, we're getting predictable" so give someone else a look in. The next time they give Kaiser Chiefs the Band but Coldplay the album.... but shouldn't the best group have made the best album? Unless as in this year they think that in fact a group didn't make best album, but a solo artist.... Again, Duffy Best Female, no problem with that as she did have the best selling album in UK last year but.... if she's already won breakthrough award isn't that a waste of a category? It's almost like they want to be fair but can't be... there was no way Radiohead could win after changing the whole way records are sold, it would reflect badly on the BPI but they had to give them the nod at least. I hadn't noticed until after it was over but Keane must have released to late for eligibility as that would have made for an interesting competition! I would rather Coldplay won Best Group and Elbow Best Album but of course if I'd have had my way, they'd have won all their 4! By the way, I have 4 Music on and have had to listen to Duffy warble vibratto THREE songs in last 15 minutes. She needs her adenoids out, sounds like she has a permanent cold. My only big shock is that Speed of Sound won Best Single voted for by public at their last Brits and Viva didn't and in my opinion is a way better single, so I wonder how Girls Aloud managed to get more votes? Wow.... hopefully we came second!
  14. Totally right, we knew we didn't stand a chance against the Maiden and Eddie! But Sanctuary have never managed Coldplay. It was firstly independently, then Nettwerk and then 3D (with Dave from Nettwerk).
  15. Don't worry guys, they're our winners. Pop always get good phone vote response, there was deffo a metal fans online surge foe the Live act and as for the other two... Elbow are top so it's nice to get some recognition at last. But of course you can't give an award to both so all I can say is... ...just because you're losing doesn't mean you've lost. Even when you haven't, erm, actually won.
  16. Well as your caricature card stood out and they were laughing, I pointed out that you'd written a message at hoping Chris didn't take offence. Also said that you designed the cards so they were very impressed with your efforts!
  17. I think you'll find the answer to that one was "Norwich"!
  18. Oh I made sure they all saw that! They all loved it!
  19. Then you designed the postcard logo/layout too right?
  20. Ok so now we have the video, I can talk about the day if you like. When I got there to arrange all the postcards (I don't know how many there were in the end, i didn't count, sorry!), Will was already in the room and he kept wandering over asking Q's. I was shooing him away. Then Guy came along and did the same, and then Jonny. It was no easy feat keeping them from picking up cards and asking about the project. Finally I got some time alone to make sure each card could be seen when you walked around them. I sat at the table as they ate lunch when Chris arrived. Ever the comedian he walked in and shouted "Any post?" He was also impressed but again, I coaxed him away. After lunch the band got some proper time to have a look at the cards. I'd always wanted the video to be set to the song and I realize it means that it's a short film but I think it's perfect. Thanks to Roadie #42 and his assistant cameraman for the filming. I'm not sure if you'll be able to spot your cards but I can vouch for the fact they spent a long time looking at them all. They were absolutely blown away by the project, the effort, the handwriting, the locations, the creations and special mention to the Studebaker car with VIVA on the side as that was one of the first cards that everyone who was there picked up! I obviously saw all the cards many times and can remember them all I reckon. I recall Ian's Manchester card, the caricature of Chris (it didn't offend but gave us all a laugh), the countless beautiful butterfly cards (including confetti from shows and one that scared me to death when I opened it; butterflies FLEW out!), the montage photo cards (including "Phil is Hot"), VIVA, cartoon drawings, live photos, George W, recreating Viva video, Johnny Cash, Christmas cards, hand stitched... the list goes on. They all kept saying how brilliant and talented their fans are and shared cards with each other. As you can see they were in a jovial mood and it ended with the LiTii puppets joining in. They were sat with postcards on their laps and of course gave the thankyou speech. It was so great to see cards from Peru, Chile, Finland, Paris, Croatia, Australia, States... well you know, you sent them!... from EVERYWHERE! Thanks for doing it guys it was a lovely idea and really appreciated. Sorry if you don't spot yours or if I didn't mention it but that doesn't make it any less amazing. You're all fantastic! x
  21. They did know who , how and where guys so don't worry 'bout that...
