I teared up a little when I first heard Gravity.

LOL!!!!!!!!! :lol: I doubt Chris writes with the thought of armageddon in his head. He just writes about what comes to him and some of the lyrics may seem a little that way. Like in whatever version of 'Talk' it is that he asks if your 'scared of the third world war.' I mean..these are all things that people think and wonder about. It doesn't mean that he set out and said, 'Okay, X&Y will be about the end of the world.' He just writes whatever is in his head and it comes out how it comes out.

I think if X&Y had been their debut everyone would rave about it. That is assuming you know...the 'coldplay sound' hadn't been made popular yet. People rag on them now because they are so popular and when something is popular they call it mainstream...and when something is mainstream a lot of people think it looses credibility. I think that's all bullshit. I love the album.

If they quit it will only be because of some type of rift, not because someone wanted to persue a solo career. If they are smart, they never will...not until they've worn themselves out. They are a team, if any of them left it will diminish everything. No way. :D

Aww thanks for posting! =) I love the fact that they love to NOT brag about all the stuff they have. That's one thing I can't stand about American artists.

I doubt Chris is faking anything. He's married to an American woman and he's dwelled in America for long enough to pick up on some things. The same way anyone else would pick up on some things if they stayed in another country for a lengthy amount of time I doubt any of his American fans care about his accent. I don't.

A lot of the bands I listen to are ugly bands. lol It makes no difference when you are listening. I always hear the music first anyway, then I discover the people behind it. It's a nice treat if they aren't too shabby.
