Ok, so I got to the stadium around 2:30 to try and see if I could hear a soundcheck. I met up with Proffesa95 and he told me that they were not having one as they were still building the stage. So we came back (me, my husband, daughter who is 5) and went in around 6:30. We wanted to see if we could get the upgrade because our seats were not the best (way up in the bleachers, jonny side). Anyway, the skies opened and it rained and thunderstormed very hard for a while and we all had to crowd in the hallways and covered part of the venue which I think brought a lot of peoples moods down. When it stopped and they allowed us back in I had my eyes peeled for Miller or the other girl I read that does the upgrades. Not even 5 min later I looked down in our section and I saw her! I ran like crazy and grabbed her and asked if she was the girl who moved fans into the front row. She said she was and I told her how I was there with my daughter and how she loved the band and it was her first concert and how I was a big fan. Well her face fell a bit and she said that she couldn't move me. She went on the explain that Chris does not like to see kids in the front rows. He got very upset with her once for upgrading someone with a kid because it is so loud in the very front even with earplugs. I have to admit I was devestated because otherwise I would have been in the front row. But what she said totally made sense and I felt a little dumb for not thinking of that myself. I have to say that the band was more energetic and sounded better than on the first leg of the tour. The crowd (around me anyway) was a dud and there was a lack of energy. Most everyone sat down through the whole show. Chris was so into talking to the crowd like how he used to be. He changed the lyrics in Violet Hill to something like "if you think jonny buckland has amazingly good looks wont you let me know" which was hilarious. He also said right before The Hardest Part that it was the solo part of the show, like when Justin Timberlake left N'sync. And then he joked about how they had the same haircut but he wasnt as good looking and didnt have his dancing skills and started singing a snippet of "girlfriend". He did mention that he was in a "shit" mood because he burned his hand at the begining of the show. Chris really tried to get the crowd into it and even called them out in a song for not having any enthusiasm. The acoustic set was in my section, like 15-20 rows up but still a cool bonus! The show was great. I liked the tweaks from the first leg mostly. I really miss them performing "Yes" though. Chris really was doing a lot of extra stuff on the piano throughout the night which is my FAVE!! I think that they sounded great. I am going to see them tomorrow......I can't wait!

iThere will be alot of people in the pit. And from experience there are a lot of obnoxious/overly drunk people in the pit too. I suggest that we pit coldplayers meet up and that way we will have power in numbers. I am not sure what time I am getting there yet but it will be reallllly early as I want to be in the front row:D

will you ask them why they don't play Amsterdam in concert anymore for me lol :laugh3:

J Bella and I have pit tickets together. We are getting there early so that we can be in the very front row. Does anyone else have pit tickets??

At the indoor shows they didnt go out too far but you should be able to walk towards the stage after the show and grab a handful!

That is what I was thinking. The outside factor would help with the noise level. She is very excited. She makes me turn the music up as loud as I can in the car so she can pretend we are at the concert :laugh3:

1. Amsterdam-the lyrics, the slow start with the explosive end, and it is an amazing city....:) 2. Gravity-this song literally pulls at my heartstrings when I listen to it. 3. Polotik-again the lyrics. it is one that I love to sing in the car, it has so much heart. 4. 42-I love the funky sound to this one. It is another one you can jam out to and sing! Honorable mentions: Square One, DAAHF, Don't Panic & GPASUYF (the funky version that they play on the b-stage in concert!)

Ok here is my postcard. It is an antique postcard from the early 1900's. It is hard to see in the picture but it has violets with the gold embossed background (my daughter is named Violet and we are both going to sign it). It says on the front (sorry, I know the pic is blurry) In remembrance true and kind, Take a friendly greeting, Just to say you're borne in mind, Though we are not meeting.

I was going to laminate mine also but then I was worried that the postage may not adhere. Also mail in the US often gets ink stamps on it and that wouldn't show up either. Do you think it would still be ok??

I bought 2 sets of the bracelets at the shows I went to. I do love them but I have to warn you that they fall apart pretty quickly. I have about half of what I started with because they break so easily! So buy a lot if you want them for a while :)

Hey guys- I was part of the Philly Sign Gang last time. I can not print any out for this show but I can help you pass them out once I am in. I will be in section 114 so I can at least help with my side close to the stage.

I sat in section 109 last time they were here in Aug and there was good view. It def wasn't "premium" but a fine view nonetheless.

are you noticing any differences in the butterflies from across the globe??

well you wouldn't want the logo to be that large anyway because there has to be so much in such a small space anyway....... you guys are all so awesome though working on all of this for us!!

do you think that whoever designs the "postcards from far away" logo could make it a standard address label size so that it would be easy to print and stick directly on the card?? this is a great idea! I am super excited and have so many ideas....... oh and Debs is the best. I am not sure why everyone hates on The Oracle aka Debs :wink3:
