The NHL thread.
re Maki and Green Just googled to get facts straight. Both players were involved in the stick swinging incident, but Maki's attack was extremely vicious. Green was left with a brain injury, paralyzed and near death and no hope for recovery. But after a year of rehab and with a plate in his head he returned to the Bruins winning the Stanley Cup in 1972. He then jumped to the WHA for a few years, then went on to coach for a while. Maki was also injured, but not as badly. He was diagnosed with brain cancer in 1972 and died in 1974 at age 29. Coincidence? Who knows.

The NHL thread.
re suspensions Yes they are and they better get their act together. It shouldn't matter how badly someone is hurt, the intent to injure was there and it's only a matter of time before something really terrible happens. What will they do, God forbid, if someone is killed or crippled for life. Don't think it can't happen. I don't know how old you guys are, but there was a stick swinging incident years ago between Ted Green and Wayne Maki. Not pretty. Maki is dead now. I, m trying to remember if the stick incident may have contributed to his death. It probably didn't help him any.

Austin City Limits March 24
Austin City Limits I recorded Austin City Limits last year--it was broadcast on a Boston PBS station--same station is having their pledge drive now--with lots of good music shows--so maybe there's a good chance they will rebroadcast it. Will try to find out. Depending where you look, Moses was born on April 8th, 9th or 10th. I recall he was born in the early hours, Sunday April 9th, by cesarean section. Could be wrong--he's here and that's what counts--hope he was born on the 8th though--would make you happy:) . Cheers

re The Delicious Jonny I'll probably never see him either. The closest they got to where I live was the 2006 Juno Awards in Halifax,N.S. I watched it live on T.V. One of their best performances of "Talk". You're only young yet so you have plenty of time to try and see them--not so me. Regardless of how old any of us are, I think we all agree--Jonny really turns our cranks:rolleyes:

Coldplay Mulling a Timbaland Collab For Next Album
Hey, I agree, artists need to grow and explore different things. I for one am not a Timbaland hater. I said so in my first post. Let's just wait and see the finished product. Cheers:)

Coldplay Mulling a Timbaland Collab For Next Album
You're probably right. After more thought and a chill pill, I really can't see them messing too much with their style. Can't wait to see what happens. Cheers!!:)

Anna Nicole Smith dead
What a tragic story. I think she was looking for love and acceptance. I wonder if she ever really found either. :( R.I.P. Anna

Coldplay Mulling a Timbaland Collab For Next Album
I like Timbaland, but do I want him having anything to do with Coldplay's next album? I'm not really sure. I know he's wanted to work with them for a while. Saw him recently on Much Music. He really likes Coldplay, calling Chris "My Man". I'll gag if there's any hip hop sound. It's all right for Nelly, but please not Coldplay. We shall see.:\

I thought Jonny was Apple's godfather. I remember reading it somewhere. Is it Jonny or is it Simon?
