'Nothing of note' is your opinion. Although X&Y might not be their best, you can't just slam it down. It's not the most horrific piece of music in the world, no? It's different, but still quite enjoyable for many people. And if you are questioning why people listen to a band that, in your opinion, hasn't done much since 6 years ago, then how about those amazing bands from the '60s? The Beatles? Hell, everyone knows there's not going to be a reunion or anything (obviously), yet millions of people are fans and enjoy them still, right? Sure, it's not that they are making music now, like Coldplay is, but I hope you understand my point. To deny a band's talent because of one 'lackluster' album or that it's been awhile since, in your mind, they've done something good is not wise. If you don't like X&Y, it's all good. Everyone has their opinion on that album. It's fine. But to remark that people shouldn't listen to a band because, perhaps, their most recent album was 'bad', it's kind of ridiculous.

Hehe it's okay. :D No actually, both my parents are Vietnamese. My dad moved here from Laos when he was a teenager (both my parents were born and raised in Laos, their families escaped the Vietnam War) and my mom moved here when she married my dad from France (Her family moved to France when she was 13). I was born and raised in America. Wow, that was quite an explanation, hehe. :)
