I needed to reawaken this thread from the dying.... I am OBSESSED with this band, one of the greatest discoveries musically for me this year, they were the soundtrack of my summer and I must say their older stuff is just as good and often better than the new album-- United, Alphabetical and It's Never Been Like That are all brilliant. They also gave me one of the best nights of my life, I went to their show on September 26th in Central Park and managed to get front row :D (second time in my life that I actually have great seats at a concert apart from the Killers at a tiny NYC venue, and I've been to a lot..) Anyway the concert was CRAZY, and at the end of Armistice Thomas jumped down into the crowd and spent about a minute sort of on top of me and my friends (boy is he adorable!!) also the bassist threw me his pick, and I got their setlist :D (I also got Passion Pit's setlist and an autograph from their singer :cool:) anyway....yeah they're really great :P

1. Phoenix Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix (album of my summer... I have been captured by this band and am way too obsessed for my own good) 2. Franz Ferdinand Tonight (for all the times I've listened to it I can't believe it was just released this year) 3. Muse The Resistance (hasn't had enough time to grow on me) 4. Animal Collective Merriweather Post Pavilion (original, fresh, awesome) 5. U2 No Line On The Horizon (not their best but pretty great, saw them live this year as well) 6. Metric Fantasties (gracias Briggins) 7. Matt & Kim Grand (seems to have been forgotten, I liked this) 8. Grizzly Bear Veckatimest 9. Yeah Yeah Yeah's It's Blitz PS. that Wiki list of albums is not complete, they're missing a LOT

totally agreed, cannot wait to see them and this performance is mind-blowing. There are some songs on Funeral I like more, but this song was perfect for the movie trailer.

Saw them open for U2 on September 23rd-- the whole stadium, half of whom had no idea who Muse were, got really really into it! It was definitely a great thing for them to do. People around me were asking each other "wait who are these guys again?? They're amazing!!" and they were. Muse are one of the best live acts around, Matt's voice is just phenomenal and they've got so much energy...my seats were crap but i'm really hoping to catch them at another live show where they're not just opening

From what I've heard from Briggins' mix, they're amazing, I really love the singer's voice too. & I know they opened for Phoenix just a few weeks ago...wish they had opened in NYC

Just found out that my Physics teacher went to Columbia with Vampire Weekend.....teachers pretty much don't get cooler than that. maybe one day I'll end up meeting them through him somehow..
