I am liking both the same, both sides have strong songs.
  4. how is SoS a pessmistic song??? Wikipedia is not a source to be quoting after, though. Anyone can edit that therefore we really can't know if it's true; unless it's backed-up by a link or something. SoS is not really pessimistic...Chris has said that it's about disasters and miracles and things that are so fantastic that we can't understand them. Nothing pessimistic (nor optimistic) there. Also... Fix You is not optimistic. I don't believe everything I read from Wiki. Alright then, well it does say 'according to the lead singer', if you find something more exclusive, let me know. :sneaky:
  5. It's the first on the Y side, so yes, it is getting to be more pessimistic.
  6. Please upload it onto rapidshare, and then we can all download it.
  7. Well, the next election is in 3 years, right Reilly? So that theory would still hold true.
  8. Did you read my theory on the other page?

AND, there was a thread actually made tonight about it. SEARCH first before you start a new thread. http://forum.coldplaying.com/viewtopic.php?t=17654&highlight=
  10. From Wikipedia: "According to lead singer Chris Martin, the title X&Y is based on the ups and downs of his everyday life. Martin says "My whole day is a mixture of optimism and pessimism in its most extreme forms. And that’s what X&Y is to me. It’s two sides. I like the fact they’re very strong letters, very clear." So X are the optimistic songs, like Square One, What if, Fix You, Talk..etc and Y are the more pessimistic tunes like Speed of Sound, Low, Hardest Part, Swallowed in the Sea. The two sections represent the two sides of the album!
  11. Haha, sorry to confuse you.
  12. So he was describing something else people! unless he got it wrong too.
  13. Are you serious? Is that b/c I had said 'Brian' the first in my thread, instead of 'Ben'?
  14. You are right! from wikipedia: "George W. Bush's second term as President of the United States began at noon on January 20, 2005 and is expected to end with the swearing-in of the 44th President of the United States at noon, Washington, D.C. time, on January 20, 2009."
  15. He is Brian Mullrooney's son, who was a former Prime Minister of Canada.
  16.
  17. It's like an A and B part of the album.
  18. I think it is... either way, it doesn't have anything to do with X&Y! :dozey:
  19. Strange how there are songs listed as X1-6 and Y1-6, is that supposed to represent something?
  20. It was bound to leak when the Japanese one was out earlier.
  21. Canadian Idol That's right, Canadian! Who hates Ben Mullrooney as much as I do? :P
