Coldplay donate £10,000 for fan with motor neurone disease Coldplay have donated £10,000 in recognition of a fan who has motor neurone disease. Jody Duff is fundraising for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) and is aiming to reach £25,000 on JustGiving, an online platform for charity donations. Having attended a Coldplay concert a week prior, a friend wrote to the band outlining Duff's situation. As a result, Coldplay invited the 37-year-old to a performance at the Royal Albert Hall. They then dedicated the song 'Fix You' to him and invited him backstage before donating the money.
