  1. I know I don't have to look if I don;t want to. You could say the same about anything cruel or distasteful. I'm sure there's a saying somewhere about that... (all it takes for evil to flourish is for good men to look away) The thing is that by looking at a little baby girl who is obviously scared, who also happens to be related to Chris & Gwyneth, who we are supposed fans of seems a little hypocritical in the first. Secondly, these are children. Yes they have celeb parents, but hopefully, those of us who are parents do have a little empathy and sympathy. I would hope so anyway. Little kiddies dont need cameras scaring them in their faces. Why are we posting these pics on a coldplaying fan site??? You know, I'm not saying that people who look at these pics are bad people, or people who want to have a nosey are in any way wierd, I think that we should have a PRINCIPLE to protect their children, and give them privacy as their fans. This is just my opinion, and needless to say, there will be people who disagree with me. That's fine, but it would be nice if we could overcome our snoopiness at some point, and let these children have some peace, and be good coldplaying fans! Moan over. Nightall x
  2. Hey everyone, I really feel like it's bad to be looking at pics of Apple and Moses and I wish we didn't post them on the Gwynneth board. Really just feel like its an invasion into these little cherub's private lives and by being an audience we create a need for these pics. Not trying to be holier than thou, I just feel that as a mum to a young baby myself, and seeing a little girl having to cover her eyes must be scary for her, and childhood shouldn;t be like that. Hope others agree with me on this. I'm really not trying to offend the person who posted the pics.:(
  3. Hi Julie, I'm only jesting saying that... I absolutely adore Coldplay, just not this ...attire. Surely someone else agrees? Or maybe I'm missing the artistry here.
  4. Hi guys, Right, I think Chris Martin is a great song writer, and not bad looking now that he's a multi million pound soft-rocker... lol... BUTTTTT... can I just ask one question. What's with this crop top he's always got on, and what's with the half mast ancle clencher trousers, and I just DONT GET this Viva outfit. I really just whish they would leave the showmen outfits and look normal again. Back in the Parachutes era, they were so much more normal. Now, Chris Martin either looks like one of the Beetles in shrunk clothes, or he looks like the milk tray man. What#s going on people??? Sorry for any offense, please don;t be too cruel!!! x
  5. From hellomagazine.com, Gwynnie at the after show party for war child. I think it's a lovely pic. If this was me, my hair would be all over the place. How does it stay put???
  6. Someone needs to do an edit of this 'thrust' shot ! Poor Chris, the shame he must feel at this perv fest!!!
  7. :laugh3::laugh3::laugh3::wink3::laugh3::laugh3::laugh3:

  9. ...Sorry, I am wrong. They were nominated. I really thought they won. I am going mad. Sorry.....
  10. ...Onto Elbow again, someone help me out here, they definitely won a Mercury for Asleep in the Back, I know this for a fact. Honest!!! Check out a link to Asleep in the Back. If they did not win, they I am most definitely going mad.
  11. Let's close it down guys. Let's do a good thing today. Anyone who wants to perpetrate a difficult life for this kid would be insane and really cruel. CLOSE IT DOWN ! CLOSE IT DOWN! Come on mods...
  12. Elbow won the Mercury for their first Album, the one with 'Newborn' can;t remember its name. Probably 2001/2002, can;t be sure of date but they definitely won
  13. If you don't know who Elbow are, they have won the Mercury award twice. They have been together for as long as Coldplay, if not longer. Their recent album is really excellent, and they have a very niche following. The Brits are voted for by the British public, so we can't really blame the industry on this although BBC Radio 2 have been pushing for Elbow to win, and Guy Garvey their lead singer has a new show on Radio 2 coming out. I love Coldplay, but for me, VLV and X&Y was not their best albums, and there are better bands out there when up against VLV, as much as I hate to admit it. But I don;t get Duffy, then again, I've never really listened to her. Duffy must have been getting some major exposure and I think it must partly have come down to the campaigns behind the band as the Maiden fan above explained.
  14. Thanks ravrat, blame it on the vino. x
  15. As much as I loooove Coldplay, Elbow who won best live act should have won best album. Congrats to them for winning best lvie act, their performance with the BBC orchestra was superb. Duffy is alright, but Elbow's album is just beautiful and should have won hands down. In a way, I'm glad Coldplay didn;t win for VLV. I think Coldplay have lost their original attraction (for me) with Viva La Vida, and tonight has reflected that. Sorry... I just love the Parachutes and AROBTTTH era and X and Y was just alright. Good one Elbow. Have a look at them they are really fab, and were at the Manchester festival with coldplay when Coldplay were signed, they go back a looong way. They are a Bury based band (in Manchester) and are really nice guys. Brits had a very Welsh theme tonight!
  16. ...It's the denim on denim... soooo wrong. But, I'm loving the turned up collars, I'm thinking Grease...
  17. 'Ewww  Dark times...... :disappointed:' Ha ha ha!!! This made me laugh so much!! They look like they need a good scrub. I think this pic of Guy might even make the Guy Club on here shed a tear!!!
  18. RE: latest Goop, Hi everyone, just noticed the butterflies on the backdrop to the goop newsletters and thought about the bflies in the concert. How sweet that they both use butterflies to symbolise their expressions, shows a bit of a united front too. I really must get a life and do some writing... Procrastination really defines me at the moment!!!
  19. Hi, Have you seen the latest edition of Goop 'Do' with Tracy Anderson? I don't know how to link it, but it has made me slightly wary of old Gwynnie and her super taught madonaesque buddy Tracy. Don't get me wrong ( and Gwynth, I apologise for the noise I am about to make here), but what's all that crap about Duck and Polenta??? Could it be endorsement of wyneth's future cookery book she keeps mentioning in interviews. Okay, if it's endorsement, then I can cope with that, business is business, but if it's for real then YUCK YUCK YUCK. That is Gwynnie kissing if ever I saw it and made me laugh because she has put it on the screen for everyone to see and Tracy seemed well star struck!!!:laugh3:
  20. ...back to the thread...... I for one think that Mr Martin is hugely religious. I don't think you can have a majorly Christian / religious upbringing and a lg family (lots of bros / sis) who have also had and share those beliefs and then to just reject them outright. His parents must still have those beliefs, and in all honestty, my take on this band has always been that Chris Martin ahs used his knowledge and understanding of Christianity and used it and applied it to his own advantage! I do think that he is sincerely religious and I suspect the others are also. Also, their other name 'Pectorales' means a cross wore around the neck which also got me thinking...
  21. ... I didn't explain why I thought he was being rude in interview. When asked on XFM Manchester if he ever gets insecure and to differentiate between the Chris on stage and the Chris at home, he was really rude and offish with the interviewer. The interviewer incidentally was an ex member of the inspiral carpets, from Manchester and a really nice guy. Chris said, 'well i'm not the person to comment about that person'. Clearly saying don't ask me anything about me!!! I just thought it was really rude because the interviewer was such a nice bloke, and because he was so personable, Chris came across as arrogant and rude and a little snobbish to be honest. So, a new strategy would be, for Chris and Gwyn to appear in public together, become normal again, admit that there is a homelife, be honest and perhaps Gwyneth should stop dressing up for the cameras and courting all the attention.
  22. Mimi, I agree with you. Hi by the way. I'm always on here, but rarely post anything:wink3:. My thoughts on this are that Chris is actually borderline rude lately in interviews, and I honestly think that is they were to appear in public, it would not create a pandemonium as Blythe Danner recently said, I actually think it would normalise the pair of them. Chris is (please don't shout at me anyone for saying this) a normalish bloke when compared to the status of Gwyneth, and I really think that her profile might be affected by being seen with the unstarlike Chris. Don;t get me wrong, I love coldplay, think he is great as are all members of this fantastic group, but I can't help but hink that Gwyneth might go down from A List to... don't know, another list??? He is such a nice guy, that I actually speculate it is her insistence that they never appear publicly together rather than his, and firmly believe that if they were to just see each other nornally - like sting and trudy tyler for example, then they would just be the 'normal couple'. They are already caricatured as a bit dull. It's not as if they both have the bling quality that David and Victoria Beckham play up to. If anything, poor Chris might take the shine off the very polished and Madonnaesque Gwynnie!!
  23. :stunned: I'm really unhappy about the comments made on that disgusting blog. People are such bullies picking on little children, they chould be ashamed of themselves. Secondly, should we REALLY be encouraging these paps? I'm more sensitive to this now as I have children of my own and can't stand the way shots of these innocent babies are being abused. I'm not preaching here, because I'm as interested as everyone else, but isn;t it time that as CP fans we should have a little decorum and start to rid this site of their children's shots???? Just a thought... thanks for listening
  24. Hey guys, Have any of you ever thought about finding weapons of mass destruction? The intelligence on this thread is brilliant to say the least! Love the sattelite pics and maps with key notations. Utter brilliance. The band must look at this and laugh their heads off or else...despair...lol!
  25. July 31, 2008 - submitted by Louise, United Kingdom Q. I have a 9 week old baby girl. What is your best piece of advice for our new addition Emily Jane? The Oracle replies: To believe in yourself, trust your instincts and remain positive no matter how tough the going gets. The best piece of advice I received was: keep your feet on the ground and your head out of the clouds. Emily will be well chuffed!!!!:P
