why do we love coldplay? Hey guys, not sure where to post this but just need some help, tomorrow I have a job interview and have to give a personal presentation which I have chosen coldplay! Just looking for inspiration so I'm just wondering why do you love coldplay (on a personal level) I no how great you all are so please if you have a minute could you let me no!

ok have i missed something here, why is everyone going on about tracks called 'car kids' and 'UFO'?they sound shocking by the way.

I'm personally fed up of Coldplay showcasing new songs in Europe and USA and not England WHERE THEY ARE FROM. The viva tour they played in the US for ages until they came to the UK. (i dont count the brixton gig as that was a 1 off, they toured all over US before coming to England). I am happy that it is only for UK residents as far too many times I have heard of friends not being able to get tickets because everyone in the world tries to get tickets for coldplay!

Just read the setlist from tonights 1st festival slot and they played 6 NEW SONGS not including ETIAWF!and half way through 'the walking man' came on stage?NEW ALBUM MUST BE CLOSE!!

hey, i dont know if anyone has mentioned this before, but on the coldplay website the news icon which says MX and says UFO inside. Now it confuses and worries me about all this UFO talk. However on one page it says U and the other page it says FO. any chance that they could be two seperate songs, one beginning with U (Up with the birds) and the other song title F...... O....?probley wrong but just thought i would throw it out there! P.S. reading this thread over the last day has made me more depressed than excited, i've never experienced so much negativity about this song before. I mean see you soon which is regarded as a 'fans favourite' includes lyrics 'In a bullet proof vest, with the windows all closed, i'll be doing my best i see you soon'. Wouldn't say that was amazing but the song as a whole is incredible!:cool:

Following the announcement, i must say i love the lyrics and the artwork. I also love the photoshoot thats been done too. My only worry is that the announcement said nothing about the album or it being a single from the album. I was personally hoping for tracklists etc. This makes me think this is a promo song which i am gutted about as i can't wait much longer !

I love coldplay and i love the new lyrics, but that music is shocking and you cant ague with that, coldplay or not!i think that awful noise is on 2 distract us!i dont believe that all from coldplay 2nite!

It sounds as though everyone accepts these rumours!Come on guys, the DAILY STAR! Personally I am still expecting a June/July release date. Until I am informed by Roadie #42 I still carry hope of a june album!You cant drag out the viva tour anymore!If coldplay fans are fed up by it imagine the majority of people going these festivals who no doubt find coldplay boring!And you cant play a greatest hits gig after only 4 albums!None of this makes sense so I am not believeing it until its official!

I totally agree with you on what your are saying. My only problem personally was that I would rather listen to the album before seeing them live to appreciate it more. And i am not saying locust is making these rumours up its just i am interested to know where he got his info from because i feel with the appearance in Q magazine they were pretty far down the line of producing LP5. If locust is reliable why does he come on say something then just leave?i just dont see the reliability in someone who found songs which someone leaked on the internet as a reliable source. Did he go into the studio and take it?did someone in the band say here mate take a listen this? He found a leaked file on the internet, it doesn't make him the insider for information. Another point you mentioned which kind of supports the confusion i have over this is when you mention MONEY."ITS SIMPLY ABOUT MONEY IN THIS CASE"! Why on earth should coldplay be thinking about money!They all have millions in the bank, they should treat glastonbury etc with the respect it deserves and i hope that is not a reason for them doing these festivals.

The experience then was 'wow heard some great songs by that new band coldplay'. Now the same fans that said that would have gone and seem them live at the VLV Tour as we all did nearly 2 years ago!I dont think coldplay can justify playing all these HUGE shows to just showcase a few tracks!They MUST have a release date before these shows. The problem i have here is based on these 'rumours' going around. It could turn out that they do what i expect them to do and announce details very soon and release the album in June time. That way we will be the first to see these new great songs live yet also have time to take the album in and appreciate it more!

I just dont understand why are will play 1 or 2 and the rest old tunes. They only have 4 albums worth of tunes. If this is the case IMO it would abit of an anti-climax!but hey im sure most people will be happy by that!

Im not having a go at them, because i am positive when i see them it will be amazing to hear the new tunes. IMO i just feel that i would appreciate it even more if i heard them before the festival. (as im sure most people would)
