This is a very good thread. I have often wondered what it looked like. I've seen the one from about 2005/6, but can barely remember what it looked like. :)

There were some amazing parts of South Africa in that music video :D Some places in the video are places I go nearly everyday :shocked2: :)

I suppose they had to do it within a matter of days, and they probably thought no one would notice. I was quite pleased when I saw Chris place down that R50 note :laugh3: They probably also assumed that no one would know the cost of a unicycle in South Africa. :P

Yeah, if sleeping pills are his biggest problem then I think they'll be fine.

Why is there such a stigma about Coldplay doing drugs? Don't get me wrong, I personally hope they don't, but if they did I doubt they would do any form of class A drugs and loads of great music has come from artists that take drugs. I think it would be a little close-minded to "like Coldplay less" or go off Coldplay a bit if they did do drugs. I don't know. I just get irritated when people make out as if people who do drugs are scum of the Earth. :\ Don't kill me for saying this.

Just thought I'd share quickly... I was listening to a radio station here in Cape Town today, and they were talking about the bad sound at the Coldplay concert down here. They had a sound engineer on, and he said that the acoustics of both stadiums (FNB and Cape Town Stadium) are both shocking and NOT SUITED FOR CONCERTS, and that it could not be helped. He said it was a known problem to organizers and the band, and that no matter how much sound checking was done it could not be helped at all. :)

Well, first off. I heard Coldplay doing there sound check in Cape Town stadium, because I waited in the golden circle line since 9am. To be honest, they didn't really do much of a sound check. In the beginning, they played pre-recorded live versions of each song on the set list and I don't think it had anything to do with Coldplay, probably the organizers. I think it had to do with the organizers or sound techs, because the U2 concert in February at the same stadium also had pathetic sound at the back from where I was sitting. BUT. I also heard Coldplay doing their own proper souncheck, and they didn't really do too much. Just a little silly sounds and stuff. I don't know. I just know that Chris got very cross at the CPT concert during shiver, he asked "what the fuck is that sound???" to some techi who was fiddling around (in front of the whole stadium). So I donno.
