I tell my parents not to bother me for a few hours. Then I will turn up my speakers full blast and probably text a few Coldplay friends afterwards.

That is the truest thing I've ever read. I can say Coldplay and people will go "Yep, I've heard of them, their music is shit" (I sometimes have to say "Yeah, their last album was pretty disappointing) but if I say Muse or The View or Arcade Fire they'll all be like "Who?" Is it just me of do Muse get HEAPS of air play on XFM...like one song per hour?
