Edith bowman just tweeted that she's off to watch Coldplay do a band practice. I thought it was worth a post.

A load of the lyrics from past albums have been slammed and still they're part of my favourite songs. case and point i)- "You cut me down a tree and brought it back to me" - I love Swallowed in the sea. ii) "You're the target I'm aiming at" - A Message is one of the best songs on X&Y. so I really can't judge until I hear the music that accompanies them.

Didn't the Oracle say that the album's title was decided before they even started recording it? and that it has always remained the same throughout the process?

everybody who is like 'ohhh this sounds scary/bad/awful (please choose which applies to you, lol) needs to seriously save judgement until the song is heard. the lyrics seem 'okay' but that's because we haven't heard the track. I seriously can not wait to just zone out and listen to the song with my earphones and have it on repeat. because it's coldplay i know I'll convince myself I love it no matter what the outcome is, and c'mon, they have never let us down (I may be speaking for myself here) but like, I think part of waiting for a new album is the excitement of getting just a sliver of news and blowing it out of proportion, all of this waiting and lyrical clue give me an extra ounce of excitement in the buildup to the release. this is great. roll on the full release which I hope (and fingers crossed) is next week before the first festival slot.

I really loved the album artwork for all things VLV related, it was a nice break, but you're right in that it's nice to see what could be a nice simple artwork akin to Parachutes, AROBTTH & X&Y - plus it does fit in with that style.

no I get what you're saying, but you're being so 'glass half empty' they've posted this video and it's definitely a sign of something LP5 related and instead of saying 'it could be this and it could be that' - you're saying 'it's not that, why would they do this?' Lol, go nuts, get ahead of yourself - it's exciting! hah.

It could also be an indicator to what the guys will be wearing on stage... and that's why it's been posted now ahead of their festival dates, in preparation. I love how they post something so insignificant and we all go nuts about it!

Why would you be surprised? we know next to nothing at all about this album and how, visually, it's to be represented. I mean, when previous albums have been released they've boasted album artwork. Never have they boasted single artwork on any medium other than the physical released copy/Digital itunes artwork. I hope it isn't the artwork though, something about it reminds me of the Radiohead greatest hits cover. EDIT: kinda does... lol

I don't see why they would change their Twitter display picture to the speedman unless it was an album cover, or a single cover, or some kind of artwork with the new album looming. it seems almost nonsensical for it to be their display photo for a lesser reason but I do look forward to seeing what it represents.

This is a valid point. Since AROBTTH they've had some kind of theme, whether it be all black, or viva jackets or the suits (christmas lights period)... so it will be interesting to see, if no news is released before festival season, how they will take to the stage, and what that might represent in LP5's theme.

I was just stopping by and felt compelled to answer your question. - Because it works better as a closing sequence. it's a lot longer than I'd have liked for an opening title sequence but I loved what Tomas did so much with it that I wanted to use it in some capacity, so this way I can use Brooke's wonderful opening sequence and Tomas' amazing work as the outro and I think that makes it more democratic in terms of the work that other people put into it. The guy is a legend. Me and him were waiting outside of the tyne theatre together before the show waiting to meet the band, we talked for hours in the cold and he was so gracious in taking the photo of me and Chris. he showed me his photo's of meeting chris outside the beehive and we talked at length about it.

We had booked a member to do the rumour mill with us but she had to pull out the day of recording so there was nothing I could do about that. Sincere Apologies.

Jesus Christ, what even happened to this thread tonight? I started this because I wanted to share something new and interesting to people on the forum that hadn't been done before and as a medium to find the latest news as well as adding an irreverent satirical element but tonight it has totally got out of hand because of the sheer immaturity of certain individuals and I will have to take time to think about whether this is even good for the forum now. I didn't contradict myself at all. if you even read the quotes that you posted I said I take constructive criticism. Him being deliberately blunt and going out of his way to slag it off was not constructive. Seriously, all I'm saying is take a dictionary to bed or something and don't try to be clever because you clearly are not bright at all.

Backwards logic? use your common sense. If I watched an episode of Grey's Anatomy and I didn't like it, I wouldn't continue to watch it and slam it every week.

firstly - I didn't say everybody in the lounge was a knob. I said all the trolls who go out of their way to BE a knob are. So, before you start mouthing off you should learn to read into context. I do not, nor have I ever had a problem with you and it doesn't really even bother me that your opinion is negative of the show. because there are more people who like it than who don't. I certainly take criticism constructively but when it comes down to the point where you're just being rude then I can't take you seriously. I don't see why you care so much that you're going out of your way to try and criticise it so bluntly, nobody's asking you to watch it and like I said above, more people enjoy watching it than who don't.
