Hi Emily! I read your blog and a bunch of old posts before diving into the creation of THE MAD HATTER! Im Jeff btw and I made your mix! TRACK 6 TUSK by Fleetwood Mac from Rumors So, I read somewhere you liked marching bands and Radioheads kick butt performance at the Grammys... I was hoping this one connected with you in some way. TRACK 7 RACING LIKE A PRO by The National from The Boxer 2007 introduced me to one the best albums of the decade. If you liked this song at all the album will not dissapoint. Its full of gems. TRACK 8 HARD DAYS 1,2,3,4 by Loney, Dear from Loney, Noir This is from the first 2009 album I have purchased this year... Ive listened to the album only once all the way through... I replayed this track several times right away. There is something about it.... ???? TRACK 9 TRY FOR THE SUN by Lindsey Buckingham from Gift Of Screws Remember track 6? Lindsey was a member of that band. He's doing good these days if you ask me. The guitars on his latest album Gift Of Screws are AMAZING! Track 10 The Devil Never Sleeps by Iron & Wine from The Sheppards Dog Love this guy and all of his music. Track 11 HUMAN BEHAVIOR by Bjork from Debut I love Bjork, but on this mix??? I dont know what I was thinking here really. I felt like throwing a curveball here. It was this or something from Dee-lite... Bjork won out. Sorry you didnt care too much for it. TRACK 12 THE FUNERAL by Band Of Horses from Everthing All In Time Im really pushing these guys on you. REALLY! I think you would get into this band. Cease To Begin is the 2nd album and I like it better than EAIT. Hopefully you will look into them more. TRACK 13 F*CK, WAS I.... by Jenny Owens Young from The Soundtrack to Weeds LOVE THIS SONG! It is too funny. Give it another listen for the lyrics there are so FUNNY! This song is hauntingly sarcastic and vengeful! GOTTA LOVE IT. TRACK 14 BELLS by Anathallo from [Engine] Glow This was going to be the closer of this mix no matter what! GREAT MUSIC! It was fun and after spying on you blog and reading some of your posts, I was so happy to be making a mix for you! I hope you heard something new and maybe something you liked. FIXED! I really like your mix... I knew of only 2 of the artists on it, Elbow (of coarse) and Seth Lakeman. Both were on my 2008 top 10 list for best album. Needless to say this intrigued me even more to download the mix. Very nice! I liked all of your choices and appreciated the way you changed things up. I keeps my interest. Female performers and vocalist may not be for everone and thats fine. I really like to hear a sultry, sexy song from the oposite gender evey now and then. I hope you are not the only participant to post a link to their mix. :wink3: I really enjoy listening to as many as I can...
