  1. Yeah so true, its more a style of behavior than a sound, there isn't really an indie sound, imo. Probably more for a laught than anything;)

I pray that Chris actually sees this!!!
  4. I think a lot of closet and 'bandwagon' coldlay are fans are going to come out in the next few months, just btw;)
  5. Forgive my naivity, but was the song written after parachutes?
  6. I read in the Australian Open program (I think it was that) a few weeks ago that quite a few tennis players listed Coldplay as one of their favourites Djokovic and Federer stood out as notables, will try to find the articles. Also are Rickey Gervais and Stephen Merchant fans?

Yeah totally agree mel. That was a side of chris I have never seen before. In the past I have been apathetic towards paparazzis and had no interest in the ET celebrity tabloid thing, but after seeing that and how chris reacted, and rightfully so, I can see why people frown upon these people so much. Sure, they're trying to earn a living but some areas are just out of bounds and if these guys call themselves pros then they should know how staunchly chris and gwenyth have been in maintaining a private private life. I mean come on trying to trick a guy (doesn't matter whether your famous or not) into confirming his wife is pregnant when the issue for all he knows could be something much worse...thats really poor form. The guy who stands up for the paparazzi in question sounds pretty tough:rolleyes::rolleyes: and he really helps things by calling chris a jerk. I also like where he says to chris 'your meant to be a father', and somehow that puts him below this guy who has been stalking chris and an ill gwyneth aswell as threatening to break the door of their car:laugh3::rolleyes:...tool.
  9. There is never any (many) paparazzi pics of Will or, come to think of it Guy or Jonny. Im not saying that there should be or whether this is good or bad, just an observation :).
  10. I very much hope so :)
  11. Granted there is nothing new here, nor is anything of substance confirmed. However, I have to side with some on the song titles, although we are not really in a position to judge, some of the titles just don't seem Coldplay (however we have been told that this album will be like nothing previous). As for the name Prospekt, I just pray that it is not the album title. It seems like some abreviation used by a poorly schooled teenager on some forum, blog etc. and not from a group which has been a beacon for refinement and good taste. Thats my opinion anyway, and now its kinda got me worried:(
  12. Oh that is so true. No two coldplay videos are alike (except maybe trouble and dont panic) which is a great thing. Also none of their videos are pretentious with girls and diamonds etc. or 'pimps and hos on the streets of compton'. However, imo Talk video is the best;)
  13. I didnt really know anything about him, in fact nothing at all, until I heard Chris Martin talking about with great respect and admiration for the various work he during the X & Y tour. Hes actually a quite well published author and 'thinker'. After I heard about his involvement on LP4 I was a bit wary until I did some further reading on him and listened to some of his music which is amazing. IMO Eno will steer the group away from being a rock, or strictly rock, group, which I believe is a good thing. For the record I would take Eno over Timbaland anytime. Especially if Coldplay are to make step up from mainstream FM rockish pop (not MO but this IMO is the preception of them in the wider community) to something truly great and versitile, a step i hope they make.
  14. I think it is the self-deprecating style of chris martin that we all love. Also, the song was orginally devised to be an artistic 'tip of the hat' to REM. I remember reading somewhere that chris saw the song as a blatant copy of Losing My Religion, and was not intended to be released, or at least a single, but the incinuation between the lines was that they were somewhat steered towards releasing it as a single.
  15. Totally. Perhaps an anti-materialist gesture?...i dont know. By the way is chris alone worth 30m Pounds? or the family? ie Gwenyth aswell.
  16. Definately buying the actual CD because it is physical, you can touch it and read it...if you know what i mean? I doubt that bonus material ill come with an iTunes version...but thats me. Also I plan to avoid radio as much as possible in the lead up to the release as I dont want my first impressions to come from some FM DJ being told what to say or how to appear (although i will be interested in people's reactions). I plan to sit down or in my car and listen to the whole album in its entirity, I made that mistake with Clocks, The Scientist, Speed of Sound etc. etc.
  17. Hello everybody! I found this site a few months and have just joined now and I think that it really is great. I liked coldplay from yellow and the first five tracks of AROBTTH which were released when i was younger, early teens, and didnt fully appreciate coldplay. But after going back, listening to all the albums in their entirity and being a few years older my mind really opened to their messages and what they have to say, not just in songs and lyrically but also in interviews and onstage, and ive loved them ever since! Cheers!:)
