- [Triple M] New Coldplay Interview (New vid 23 May) (LIVE 6TH JUNE, 12pm AEST, EST+14)
Hey, sorry if anyone has already seen this ir it isn't thread worthy but anyway...myf warhurst, music journo from australia travelled to london with two other japanese and one u.s. journo for their (sort of) first VLVODAAHF interviews. http://www.triplem.com.au/melbourne/shows/petemyf/features/myfdoescoldplay/index.html Theres some cool/very recent pics, interview was done in their studio...esp. the final pic could be an indication of what we can expect to hear in any upcoming shows.;)- Have any of your local stations played Violet Hill?
Ive heard it once on the tuesday night and only once or twice since on mainstream radio. Its all rihanna, one republic, timbaland and that pictures of you song - why I dont really listen to the mainstream radio...heard ita few more times of triple j (sort of the australian equivalent of Xfm)- Weakest First Single Yet?
I loved speed of sound at the time, probably just because it was new coldplay, as it has done nothing for me since and ^^ nowadays I'll skip through it on X&Y to get to 'A Message'. Violet Hill could be on a par with Speed of Sound. IMO and I STRESS IMO, the sone is a bit too cliche for me "if you love me won't you let me know" which doesn't do great things for my opinion that lyrically coldplay are one of, if not the best mainstream groups. Its tough to gauge first singles though because at the time of speed of sound it was great and got big radio play for example yet in hindsight I and I guess many others consider it to be one of the 'lesser' tracks off X&Y. So do we dare judge VH now????????- The Champions League/Uefa Cup Thread 2007-08
Scholes=GOALS!!!- Violet Hill Is Poor
I would'nt say its poor, but its definately not the coldplay we are familiar with nor is it the one I fell in love with many years ago... I loved the eno-ish start, but the drums and guitar didn't really do great things for me aswell as the lyrics which Iam finding hard to decipher and relate to, one of the reasons I have loved coldplay since parachutes...However I ABSOLUTELY LOVED the total drop at the ending aswell as the closing lyrics. That said Iam sure I will come around...as I have with coldplay in the past. I still have great hopes for VLV:)- BBC radio 1 violet hill today live pictures and video at BBC 1 radio website

quite pertinent that the hidden track be called the escapist?? :) This will be a very exciting place to be over over the next few months!! :):):)- the 2008 F1 thread.
...watching the race atm. Some judge I am :embarassed::stunned:- the 2008 F1 thread.
Kubica has to be fairly light, however he has shown some good straight line speed, especially in Sepang and good straight line speed is the best thing you can have going into bahrain. That said I think it will, once again, come down Lewis, Kimi and maybe (hopefully) Heikki. Kubica is or will be on the wrong strategy - early stop with a very heavy load or an early stop and then a late stop, meaning he'll have to work really hard on his second stint to be able to come back out in a good position. While any one of the tight Bahrain corners will get the better of Massa...I'm going to go out on a limb and say turn 8 or 14;).- Homecoming - Piano Tabs
Hey, does anyone have or know where I can get a copy of the Homecoming - Kanye West and Chris Martin piano music. I've been trying to master the addictive tune by ear but im not getting very far...tips anyone?? thankyou:)- the 2008 F1 thread.
Who was fastest in practice in bahrain?? All I've seen is hamiltons introduction to the barriers, which he would not have hit if the gravel trap actually had gravel in it!!, the most that I've come to expect from the negligable F1 coverage in Australia.- Viva La Vida Interivew
Probably has a bit of a cold...he always sounds like that just not so low...anyway. You have to stop caring about what you're known for," says Martin. "So even if it's shit, at least it's brave." - how nice is that:shocked2::D- REM: Chris Martin named our new single
does anyone have a copy or podcast of the Micheal Stipe interview on radio 1??- What Time Is it and what are you doing ??

8:57 p.m. - Eating some peanut M&Ms, Listening to Ricky Gervais Show podcasts on XFM and surfing Wikipedia. All instead if doing my International Relations and Economics work- F1 to return to BBC in UK.
Dream F1 commentary Line up: Murray Walker, Jeremy Clarkson, James May, Hammond, Martin Brundel and Louise Goodman in pits...ie. No james allen for those consigned to ITV outside the UK- the 2008 F1 thread.
Did no one else see hamiltons overtake on turn 2 (I think it was turn 2) on the first lap where he gained like 4 places at once? ^^Grace don't get me started on Hakkinen vs. Schumacher at Spa in 2000...the only time I have literally jumped out of my chair and cheered at 2am in the morning...heidfeld's move had nothing on that of Mika's, still quality driving though;):)- the 2008 F1 thread.
I was utterly obsessed once upon a time. I went to the 1998 GP at Albert Park as an 11 year old and saw Mika and DC go 1-2 and was hooked until around 02 03 when Mika retired, Mclaren fell in a heap and the FIA became all technical with quali, engine rules for races and quali etc. etc. etc. etc. etc:angry: to counter Ferrari and Schumacher. Anyway Iam a devout Mclaren Mercedes fan and was slightly wary and cynical at the start of last season and thus only followed the season from a distance (which is pretty easy to do in Australia - thats for another day lol) but now I belive F1 is a bit brighter now and with no this season we will see some true driver skill. get excited about heikki - [Triple M] New Coldplay Interview (New vid 23 May) (LIVE 6TH JUNE, 12pm AEST, EST+14)
