  1. 3 years sounds right. Bar parachutes-AROBTTH, all the rest of the album release's have been around 3 years apart. All good things come to those who wait :D

Mine still work from June. Try unfolding a paper clip and sticking it in the small slot on the side above the D where its stamped Coldplay. Wiggle it about it should light for a second or so. Failing that remove the four screws on the back you will find the batteries (button type) and a small circuit board :)
  3. This was my attempt
  4. Croydon...Yes :) Xylo band and bullet proof vest :D
  5. My own fault! How many times i've looked at that picture and never made out the name. Never mind. Time for a eye test :)
  6. Afternoon boys and girls. I apologise if this has been posted already, I don't get a chance to get on here much at the moment :( Anyway I've seen posts on people doing their own spray paint work. As I was considering this myself, I started looking for spray paint and found, what I think is the spray paint Coldplay use. Its called Molotow. Thought it might be helpful for anyone doing this. If you look at the picture of Guy holding the can and then look on the molotow site. They look the same. http://www.molotow.com/molotow/
  7. People should bark like a dog instead of swear, how much more amusing that would be.
  8. Personally I have loved it from day one. I know some people don't share the same opinion. But to me this album just bursts with energy and positivity. Along with the album art work and general sound of the album it has portrayed to me the excitement of life. It's a mass of bright colours and soaring melodies. Kind of the same effect oasis songs have like "live forever", gives you a fretting kick back to the top. As much as I love their old stuff (first 3 albums) the new to me is a much more positive and hopefully message. I love it, and since seeing them at emirates last week has just made me love it even more which I didn't think was possible. I think they have raised the bar once again. They haven't sold out. The reason people have warmed more to their new sound is because it's far more uplifting in a positive way. Which at the end of the day is what brings happiness in life, positivity and positive thinking. To me this album lights a fire inside as it were. I seem to find "don't let it break your heart" a particular favourite at the Moment. There is no 1st, 2nd or 3rd favourite. All are top. And the lyrics still speak to me as much as they did all them years ago from the early days. It's a beautiful album :D like a ray of sunshine!
  9. I was hesitant to coldplay going on poop factor. But doing so they achieved two things! 1. They put to bed any old opinions of coldplay being boring and down beat. 2. 3/4 of the show was sob stories from jumped up karaoke singers jumping about stage. On comes coldplay and tears the show to bits. Shows them how it's really done. Raw talent! Well done to them!
  10. Glen replied to 42rock89's topic in Paradise
Personally I think paradise is an amazing song. Everything fits perfectly. I liked every tear drop is a waterfall the moment i heard it and the same with paradise. Both solid songs. I'm not going to like anything they realease just because i like Coldplay but they keep on giving good music. The base line in this song is really good too. I know some people like the old stuff but this new music from 2008-current seems to me to give a burst of life, makes you feel on top of the world. They did the slow stuff ie the scientist, fix you, warning sign, trouble etc etc For which some people brand them depressing, far from that, to me they are uplifting and beautiful. Now they seem to have upped the tone to a more cheerful uplifting beat, that makes me feel alive and give me a buzz. I personally like their new stuff just as much as the old, both for their own reasons as i said. Thank goodness their album is out soon the tosh in the charts is getting boring, timed just right. Time to inject some proper music into the charts again.
  11. i hate london, and the arrogant, self absorbed, pretentious, pencil pushing, wine bar loving yuppie ****s that occupy it. Manors cost nothing....*Cue flying head butt* mm yar for sure brill, let me just run this one by you.
  12. Apart from there exceptional talent, being nice people, staying grounded for the position they are in. But most of all there music speaks to me in no way any other band has before. Their music to me has pulled me out of some holes made me see wrong from right and at the same time brought a new lease of life. So for that they get my vote. Like with most things you either get it or you dont.
  13. Glen posted a topic in Coldplay
Was working in Camden today near Kentish town. On my way home came to a set of traffic lights and noticed a pub being painted, and straight away recognised the name but it didnt know where from. Then got it, was the "Bull and Gate "where Coldplay performed many years ago. Tried to take a picture but lights changed before i had a chance. Sorry to post, put a big smile on my face because im sad like that. Anyone interested in going there Kentish town tube station is a few hundred yards away.
  14. I am honoured i must say :). It is a cracking song tho, one of those ignored songs bit like gravity etc all good songs.
