In Barbados people judge you if you are a professional with lots of piercings and tattoos. In most cases you're likely not to be hired if your tattoo is excessive or you have a lot of piercings. Most places will not allow you to have your nose pierced unless it was so discreet that it could not really be noticed so I can totally understand where your father is coming from. My sister who is a nurse has to make sure most of her earrings are removed before she goes to work in her unifom. Her tattoos however are basically hidden and if they weren't she'd have to find ways to cover them as her superiors would constantly attack her for it. Personally I do not find piercings and tattoo's in general to be unprofessional but if they are too many or showing all over then yes that might be a bit much.

I guess that means that its a coldplay related tattoo then :cool:
