I would have to disagree with you all. I do understand and feel that people should have the right to practice relgion or whatever else they want to and have many freedoms. At the same time I find it sort of wrong to put a mosque so close to the WTC site. I mean is it really so difficult to move it to a different site? It would sort of be like putting some sort of Japanese Shinto or something near Pearl Harbor. Regardless that the majority of muslims are peaceful people, I feel that it's something that isn't right to do.

i wouldn't say it's shit. it's a very chill song. perhaps not one of their best but still good.

it's a bit of both. It's good to get away from the people at school because a lot of them acted extremely immatture and I felt I didn't really grow too much socially going there. at the same time I really like going to school and learning new things. I've been out of school since late may. trying to look for work related to my degree but no luck so far. What year are you going in Lauren?

to me the song is very popish and they don't seem like the kind of band to make really pop songs. it's hard to explain.

listen to the live bbc version...so good! (it's on the OK Computer deluxe edition) the harmonies are so good

i really like Karma Police. it was that and Exit Music that were the first Radiohead songs I liked. Not a fan of High and Dry. It's not bad but very un-radioheadish

:lol: that's an interesting way of looking at introducing Radiohead but I do agree... they are the kind of band that you have to introduce gradually, being they are a band you need time to get into. I'd probably recommend their most known/pop songs first (High & Dry, Karma Police, Creep, House of Cards, There There, No Surprises)

I haven't read this whole thread but in relation to the initial post I don't think it's such a big deal. yeah it might be disappointing but they are the kind of band that I find you don't get on first listen. In fact I personally didn't really like Radiohead (thought they were too depressing) the first listen (in fact it was OK Computer) and look at me now :lol: It could be that he doesn't like the band or perhaps his musical tastes haven't grown to enjoy their music.

I'd enjoy that! I haven't really listened to Of Montreal that much. I'll be doing a listening party in about an hour for either Armchair Apocrypha-Andrew Bird or Guero-Beck or Love-Beatles (cirque de solie) I might also do one later tonight for The Album Leaf but that probably won't be until midnight
