To me it sounds like she's looking for attention. Trying to point out all of the problems she has and really putting them under a magnifying glass to everyone else. I wouldn't break up a friendship over it, but I might somehow confront the friend and let her know how you feel in that it's getting annoying how much she complains when she should be happy/grateful for all she has.

financially I'd say I am in the sense that I depend on my parents. in terms of emotionally/socially I don't think so. I mean of course I have friends to hang out with but I don't need to hang out w/ someone every single day to be happy. In fact I often like having time not hanging out w/ anyone at all.

At this point though it would be my least favorite of the bunch (well I don't really count PH as much of a first release since I feel this album is where they began to find their sound)

just setting up a playlist b-sides would be quite a lengthy listening party... nearly 3 hours. I'll probably then try to split it up into 3 seperate LPs

also (this might not happen for a while), but if I have free time I'd like to do a Radiohead b-side listening party going through all of their non-album songs. would anyone else be interested in this? hopefully I can get ustream to work then

my favorite song on PH would have to be Lurgee. But I also really like You, Creep, Blow Out and that's about it :P the rest is okay. I agree that of course they have every right in the world to build a mosque there. At the same time I don't think that it's a very thoughtful choice in doing so. I understand as well as you that most muslims are peaceful and mean no harm, but it is poor choice/taste to have a mosque built in all places near where the WTC was. Also I'm sure that if/when they build it there will be a lot of angry people going there to protest it. I feel that they should just move it to a different place to avoid conflict.

understandable. but at the same time the band was really enjoying playing live songs from In Rainbows. I mean personally the last thing I'd want is to have a band feel like they have to play a song live when they are not in the mood to. To me it'd be like they give off a bad vibe.

that is true. I saw them twice and they didn't play any of those songs. I'm the same as you in that being a hardcore fan it isn't such a big deal. But i could sort of see why other fans might want to hear those songs more than others.

I know what you mean. I still think that it would be a good song to show someone because it seems like a very accessible song.

I think that not everyone has to love Radiohead, in the same sense not everyone has to love the Beatles or whatever. At the same time regardless of if you like the band or not you cannot deny their importance and influece. In terms of not playing Creep live I don't think it's so bad. I mean all bands should not have to continue to play songs that they do not like to play live. Of course Radiohead has other popular/well known songs to play in it's place, so it's not much of a problem
