  1. So tired of this bullshit... I'm going to say something today, and if things don't change then I'll just transfer or quit. I don't mind helping out. I am MORE than reasonable and lenient but will not be taken advantage of.
  2. :awesome: well you posted here not so long ago... me thinks you like the band more :P
  3. I got the iPhone 4S a few days ago as a partial late birthday present... it's really awesome! It's the first smart phone I've ever gotten
  4. The Jamie xx one is amazing! One of the best remixes
  5. yeah I'd imagine that they'll be more US shows in the fall. Also there's been rumors of mexico shows I think sometime between the US and Europe leg too.
  6. I guess this is a new scheme announcing last minute to try to limit scalpers, though I'm sure it also hurts fans that don't keep on top of tickets
  7. Nina (ms magpie) wanted me to let everyone know I can't go to CPing so let everyone know that tix for Italy are on sale and that other such stunts might happen ANY TIME
  8. Sorry to leave but I need to make my State of the Union Speech *wags thumb*
  9. yeah. It seems ever since Bush was in office that there's been more and more ways that the government has tried to expand. Whether it be from Homeland Security or Health Care. I think that security is important to have, but when peoples rights are taken away and there's excessive body scans I think it's too much and over the line. I still am not certain Obama will win the presidency. To be honest it's up in the air. Of course people are not happy with the current state of the nation or economy which I think would destroy his chances to win, but there has been no candidate in the spotlight (Romney & Cain mostly), that I think could challenge him. I do like Ron Paul the most of all of them, but like any candidate there are things I oppose. How does Ron Paul siphon off some of the Republican vote? What do you mean by that?
  10. Any reason for those predictions? The idea of these passing is just moving us closer to an authoritarian state. With the internet being used to gain information on things that aren't on the news it will give so much more bias. What the hell is this country doing when we have to censor? Even if they say it's because songwriters don't want their songs to be online illegally or that videos of people playing video games can't be posted to me it just opens the door and makes it a slippery slope to censor other things
  11. Happy Birthday Ian! :D
  12. There are two very disturbing bills making their way through Congress: Protect IP Act (PIPA - S.968) and Stop Online Privacy Act (SOPA – H.R.3261). These bills are coated in rhetoric that I find disgusting since at their core they are online censorship bills. It’s incredible to me that Congress would take seriously anything that censors the Internet and the American public but in the last few weeks PIPA and SOPA have burst forth with incredibly momentum, largely being underwritten by large media companies and their lobbyists. A number of organizations in support of free speech and a free and open Internet have recently come out in opposition to these bills. They include EFF, Free Software Foundation, Public Knowledge, Demand Progress, Fight For the Future, Participatory Politics Foundation, and Creative Commons who have organized American Censorship Day tomorrow (11/16/11). If you run a website or have a blog, go to the American Censorship site to see how you can participate on 11/16/11. In addition to being censorship bills, these are anti-entrepreneurship bills. They are a classic example of industry incumbents trying to use the law to stifle disruptive innovation, or at least innovation that they view as disruptive to their established business. To date, the Internet has been an incredible force for entrepreneurship and positive change throughout the world (did anyone notice what recently happened in Egypt?) It’s beyond comprehension why some people in Congress would want to slow this down in any way. While you can try to understand the bills, this short video does a phenomenal job of summarizing their potential impact along with second order effects (intended or unintended). PROTECT IP Act Breaks The Internet from Fight for the Future on Vimeo. I’m furious about this, as are many of my friends, including Fred Wilson who wrote today about how these bills undermine The Architecture of the Internet. But we are aware, as are many others, that simply being mad doesn’t solve anything. Join us and speak out loudly against censorship – right now! If you have a blog or website, please take part in American Censorship Day - the instructions are on their website which – so far – hasn’t been censored. Read more: http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/FeldThoughts/~3/mBK_VgfO5Vk/american-censorship-day-is-tomorrow-111611.html#ixzz1dt974FIW Just another way for governments and large corporations are trying to limit peoples free speech.
  13. haha well I guess that makes sense haha! I think the sound and overall view for Radio City would be so amazing. Only problem is that there probably wouldn't be any GA tickets. It is funny how they had it labeled. In 08 they actually never played any shows in the state of NY, they were all in Jersey
  14. the more I hear about the movement the more I have a problem with it. I am all for changing the status quo, and making a difference. But I don't feel that the movement is really getting anywhere. I mean occupying wall street and the surrounding area... but is it really making any members of government or wall street actually want to change? I don't think so. I can understand more how protesting in Washington would be more effective in sending a message to change the government. Regardless I would hope that people in power will realize that people's unrest of the direction of the current state of affairs is not just going to disappear. As things get worse people will be more angry and uprise (as seen in various countries around the world). So personally if I was them I would try to rethink things. ...however I'm not a smug greedy bastard who couldn't give two shits about the next person down the street.
  15. I don't think it was in the description. I also got a badge! (the orange one), and the Roseland t-shirt too! :awe:  I find it sometimes funny how you ask me Radiohead questions that no one knows as I have the inside scoop :P  BUT... I'd imagine they'll probably play maybe a venue like MSG or the Theater or it'd be great if they went back to Roseland. Or perhaps go to Camden NJ again at Susquehanna Bank Center (that's where I saw them once in '08)
  16. huh? I'm confused :|
  17. The Antlers/Suuns and The National in December Other Lives in February
  18. just took a closer look at my poster... I know they were limited in how many they were going to make, but I didn't know they were going to be numbered. for my color (the Yellowish/Neon/Green color one)... I got #2/150 :awesome:
  19. just pot... only felt it once and didn't like it so I never did it again. that's really it, though I guess caffeine and alcohol would count so add those too.
  20. ah okay. I was at both but the 2nd was better. I had a similar experience w/ drunk people. This woman and guy were so drunk and making out and kept bumping into me. I pushed them a few times but they didn't even notice, they were probably so drunk...haha! But I was sort of far back, like 1/2 way between the stage on sound board area. Night 2 I was maybe like 12 rows or so on the left side.
  21. haha... well I did bring a better camera than the one on my phone which is good. good idea! definitely will check that out... thanks! I am going to be getting an iPhone later this month (as a REALLY belated birthday gift), but I'll try that out and see how the pictures are from that.
  22. sure! I don't think I'm going to buy a camera right away, but will probably wait until Christmas or something. But yeah all of these suggestions have been helpful so far.
  23. where were you for the Atoms for Peace shows? Did you go to both nights?
