TKOL was definitely a big disappointment. However as time has progressed and seeing the songs live I have more of an appreciation and enjoy the album more. I mean it's nowhere as good as IR or OKC or Kid A, but it's still enjoy able. I think that music video may be the dumbest video i've ever seen.

I like the song. I find the song very nostalgic, which is maybe why I really enjoy it. I think there might be a lot or too much going on though. I do really like the melody of the choruses though.

I imagine they'll be playing smaller shows this time around. I'm so excited for more shows :dance:

The difference between Radiohead and Coldplay mainly now besides sound is that Radiohead releases the music that they seem to enjoy and want to write and record without really caring too much what people will think. Of course they care... but they're already established so much and can now make all the weird experimental music they want since they don't have to prove themselves. Coldplay are also established. However they've taken a different route where it seems that fame and money and popularity is more important than releasing the music they want. You even have the quote from Chris Martin saying how he has to compete w/ Beiber and Adele... some of the most popular artists today. What does it matter? Make the music that is true to you, and forget what other people think.

I'm just really curious to know. I find the album is extremely disconnected as an overall package. It's more just a collection of songs rather than a well crafted and put together album. And the songs themselves are too overproduced. I guess I feel it's not a light statement to calling an album 10/10, and personally I can only think of a handful of albums that I'd give a 10/10

I'll give it like a 2... maybe close to a 3. I found the album disjointed and all over the place. One minute you have synth heavy dancey songs, the next minute you have acoustic relaxed songs. It had no sense of consistency at all. The songs themselves seemed way too over produced and too much going on. I didn't really find anything stood out so much that I would go back to listen. The highlights are (or songs I could possibly see myself going back to eventually): Mylo Xyloto (yes... that 45 second intro) Us Against the World Up in Flames Don't Let it Break Your Heart

This album is very disjointed. I'm listening to it now again this time in full. One minute you have dancy songs, and then acoustic. The album doesn't have any feel, common theme or sound whatsoever.

eh... i say hold off for now...haha! I'd like to get the WoM regulars to vote on this first instead of all the fanboys/girls running here and giving the album a 10, just for the hell of it

I figured I'd make this thread to try and weed out all of the fanboys and fangirls, and try to get a less biased poll rather than just it's 10/10 (which it is not even close IMO).
