  1. pfft of course... it's a great album!
  2. I never really thought about it that way but I guess it makes sense. However wouldn't people be arrested automatically by bringing a firearm?
  3. ...however just thinking about my point... I feel that this movement is the kind that will grow until solutions are met. I mean with people out of work and looking for jobs and with our increasing debt I don't see this as a problem that will just disappear. Unless politicians, companies and government gets it's act together and changes things then these protests will continue.
  4. Interesting video... I think i've seen videos by that guy before. Part of me hopes for change and more fairness towards the average person in this country and around the world. but i feel that with so much power held over what is controlled that it seems almost impossible to make a difference. Even if you were to try to boycott all the powerful companies and banks that people would have to give in eventually. I hope I'm wrong and I wish that these rich bastards are brought to justice for fucking the world up out of their own greed.
  5. I think anyone would see it to be honest. People are increasingly getting tired of being taken advantage of and want a fair playing ground. I mean honestly... the whole greed of wall street and the banks getting bailed out and still getting record profits and bonuses is disgusting. I'm almost surprised that people started protesting so recently. The use of violence by the police is just a bullying tactic. The governments just want to suppress the people even though they protest peacefully. I hate to say it but I just see things getting worse in the months. Little does the governments know that the use of violence against peaceful protesters just aggravates and makes more people angry and upset.
  6. ...way to waste more taxpayers money to propaganda....
  7. bump.... thoughts on the Modeselektor album? I really like it a lot! I've really been into this song a lot lately: http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/coldplay-wont-stream-mylo-xyloto-20111026
  8. A Rush of Blood to the Head, though Parachutes is really close too.
  9. those 2 Thom Yorke duet songs are great, but the rest of the album is also great too!
  10. going to add Monkeytown-Modeselektor to my list... great album!
  11. I started listening to the album the other day... it was good. I need to finish it and listen to it more but I enjoyed it.
  12. This is my attempt at a list of now... The King of Limbs-Radiohead Tamer Animals-Other Lives Burst Apart-The Antlers Seeds-Hey Rosetta Keys and Codes-Death Cab For Cutie Take Care, Take Care-Explosions in the Sky Metals-Feist Torches-Foster the People Hurry Up, We're Dreaming-M83 thats all I can think of now
  13. On the topic of Hitler I've thought and been afraid something similar will happen. I mean you see people being arrested for talking bad about the government, when they are completely peaceful. When times get desperate and tough people will flock to anyone they think might solve the problems even though it's for the wrong reasons, and that's not a reason to be misguided. Hopefully this won't happen, but with the overall current state of affairs it seems the world is just spiraling out of control. On what Chuck posted I think that Ron Paul is a good person in politics. Regardless of what you think of how he wants to really cut government down so much I feel with how things are going he is the kind of person this country needs. Too long we've been driven by greed where people get bailed out and still earn millions in bonuses. People need to be accountable for their actions. And I feel he is an overall true and honest politician wanting to do good. I know that may sound naiive, but his track record has been consistant and also often talks about topics that bring confrontation even though it's not the popular thing to do (for example how he said we brought on 9/11 to ourselves)
  14. I actually think I'm going to change my party to Republican (currently not-offiliated) just to vote for him in the primaries. I've even have tried to get my parents and one of my siblings to vote for him. To be honest I feel that he's one of the most genuine politicians I've seen. Of course there are things I don't agree with him on, but I feel with the current state of affairs with the economy and debt that he is the kind of person we need. edit: I don't know or think he'll win because the media is too biased and too many americans are too dumb to vote for him... but I hope he wins.
  15. Do you honestly think that Ron Paul has a chance at all to win?

SNL was a really bad and sloppy performance of Lotus Flower. But Staircase was really good. The Colbert Report's performances were ace too. For this poll I wonder who I'm going to vote for  :dozey:
  17. for those that didn't see it or go to the other thread mentioned above: [ame= ] [/ame] The melody is pretty much exactly the same and even the tempo or duration of notes too.
  18. I buy music. If I don't buy it then I stream it online. The only time i'd download is unless it it's songs that I cannot purchase or stream (like live songs)
  19. I do agree it is more noisier than it should be, but the song itself is good. I really like the melody and it has a nostalgic kind of sound to it, which I really like (much like the song MX)
  20. Going with Don't Let it Break Your Heart. It is honestly the only song that I've been going back to to listen to.
  21. DLIBYH is actually one of the few songs I really enjoy from the album, maybe even the only one. I mean it's the one song that I've been going back to listen to.
  22. I never said that the Lotus Flower video wasn't dumb. It's very strange and comical. And also I never said that Thom Yorke and Radiohead can do no wrong... obviously this past year w/ TKOL being a huge disappointment. Well I'm not trying to make it seem that it's a fact because it obviously isn't. Also I'm not saying people can't enjoy it either. If you like it fine, I don't care. I dislike it because IMO the song is crap and the whole storyline of the music video of Chris Martin in an elephant finding his friends to me is really stupid. I understand a lot of you think it's cute or funny or playful but my impression of it is embarrassing.
  23. it's not my fault the music they make now isn't as good anymore. anyway... lets be honest that video is really dumb
  24. I think he's decided to spend more time learning the unicycle rather than writing good lyrics
