Lotus Flower was good even though Thom stopped in the middle. Little by Little I'm not so sure about. I think it sounds good, but different and the rhythm is off, at least to the studio version. I need to listen to it more. To be honest of the new songs the only one I was really impressed by was Bloom (and Staircase of course)

yeah it is silly, and also frustrating. Because you essentially need someone 17+ buying a ticket. like I mentioned before I think that would be a useful thing for movies. Let people make their own decisions for themselves and their children since they know it has x, y & z.

yeah but then you're labeling the artist as being an explicit artist. like Radiohead on iTunes has Creep was explicit. I know it says the word "fucking", but to me I think it gives a bad wrap. Also it's whole artistic perspective. When you go to see nude sculptures or paintings in a museum there's nothing that says "these works can only be seen by x-amount age and higher" or "warning: contains nudity". So why do paintings or sculptures get special treatment. They are all works of art. If anything perhaps make the lyrics made available, so that way if anyone has any doubts or concerns they can read the lyrics before making their purchase

I don't really think that a rating system is such a great thing. I mean automatically it labels something as having a rating. Like to be honest seeing the Parental Advisory logo on some CD's I find to be a real turn off. I guess how it looks gives me a certain feeling that the music is filled with profanity and cursing, when in fact it might not be the case but just for a few songs. At the same time people should somewhat get an idea of what to expect when buying a CD or seeing a movie. I think that movies are easier because I can see having the subtitles that they usually do of things like "Violence", "Drug Use", "Nudity", etc. I don't think that they should give movies a rating perhaps, but at least let the audience members know there might be some risky things in it. My whole belief is let people make their own decisions. And have parents be the judge. I mean good parents will tell their children right from wrong and also not make them ignorant or not teach them about things that might be considered risky or whatever. I guess my whole feel is who gives other people the right to say what we can or what we cannot watch. I mean I feel growing up I was really mature for my age, so it was annoying when I was like 16 that I couldn't get into an R-rated movie. Just because of that rating I wasn't allowed to see the movie regardless of how much mentally I'd be fine w/ seeing an R movie.

Moving to Mars is by far the best new song. Just a really great written song. I'm not into Feels like Heaven as much as I was last night, but it's still a really good song. Now I can't stop listening to Moving to Mars :| ...what is happening to me? :| (though I've heard the other songs and wasn't really into them)

I mean it's just a song... if people don't like a song or a band you know you don't have to take it to heart. I mean if someone told me that Radiohead was a shit band, it'd be fine... it wouldn't change my opinion.

I've never understood some censorings. The most ridiculous censor I've seen was watching The Matrix and Neo originally is supposed to say "how about I give you the finger and you let me go", but instead they replaced the word finger with "flipper" ...:lol: but in terms of censorship I don't think you should censor words. The reason being that the songs are the musicians artwork and I'd be like censoring paintings for some things they show. No one should tell musicians how to limit what they show in music or whatever, it's up to them ultimately. I mean of course the topic will come up for children and how all of those words or risky lyrics or whatever will be bad for children. Well to be honest it's not the lyrics that are the issues. It's the parents. If you are a good enough parent then you should teach them right from wrong, and also not keep them so ignorant when it comes to the topics of lyrics (especially if they're talking about something like sex)
