  1. Me with a random Radiohead fan I met.
  2. As I as well as others predicted the night before, Radiohead fucked up with their DC locations. Both addresses were wrong. I showed up at Jefferson and 7th, but, upon realizing that it was an entirely residential area, I turned around and went back to Union Station (which had the wrong address but my GPS got me there). I arrived there about 2 hours early. Union Station is like a train station combined with a mall, so I went around to all of the shops (mainly FYE Record Store, Barnes and Noble, and a few newspaper stands) asking if they knew anything about it. They all told me that tons of people were asking but none of them knew where exactly the event was gonna take place. I wandered around asking people (and looking for people in Radiohead shirts) until at 12:55 I saw some guy from about 40 meters away with the TKOL artwork in his hands. I ran up to him and asked where he got it, and he pointed to one of the entrances, so I ran out and there they were, two college-age guys wearing UNIVERSAL SIGH shirts. There were only about 25 Radiohead fans there (probably because of the fucked up addresses) so they were literally asking 'How many do you want?' to each person who asked. At first I didn't want to be greedy so I only asked for two, but then a few minutes later when they still had hundreds left and no one asking for them, I asked for three more. I talked to them for a while; they have a friend who's an intern at a music company and that's how they got the gig. One of them has my email address so as soon as he contacts me I'm gonna ask if he has any more copies. The security guards showed up and made them move across the street actually :laugh1: so they weren't even handing them out at Union Station after all. After having lunch, I walked past the guys again and they were totally alone with hundreds of copies left. I regret not asking for a stack of ten of them, considering how many people are begging me for my four extra copies :( Here's me with a random Radioheader who I met while there: http://www.theuniversalsigh.com/photos?page=1&photo=5028%2F5572249685_ecb9d2cf3a.jpg And here's an article about the fucked addresses: http://www.washingtoncitypaper.com/blogs/artsdesk/music/2011/03/29/radioheads-bad-map-lures-fans-to-brightwood/

  4. It's even interactive!! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDlaJlb1ezg]YouTube - Skittles Touch: Cat[/ame]
  5. \ I could've gotten 10 if I wanted. Will discuss in a few minutes...gotta respond to some facebook messages and all.
  6. So am I the only one freaking out about WHAT TO WEAR tomorrow? Normally I just throw on whatever I grab out of my hamper/dresser...but tomorrow my picture's going to be on the internet and I'M GOING TO MEET JONNY GREENWOOD (loljk /overoptimism). I guess I'll just wear jeans and my nicest pullover... hopefully it won't be too cold (DC is a fucking cold city).
  7. Yea if it's between 1 and 7 then we should only vote for 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6... Or is that your big secret?
  8. 30 minutes? I'm showing up in DC about 2 hours before the handout.
  9. Ok guise youtube and facebook are the same. You can subscribe/add friends just like on facebook. You can upload videos, just like on facebook. You can leave people comments, just like on facebook. Basically Violet, your argument can be applied to just about any website out there in which the users contribute to the content.
  10. But everything is more organized on facebook. For example, on tumblr, it's extremely difficult to find photos posted months or years back. Communication is much easier too, with messages, wall posts and all that. Exactly.
  11. Yes yes I do. That type exists everywhere, but it seems to be more common in Europe. Nice jacket.
  12. DIE. DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. I like David Guetta music :(
  14. Well if the two on the right and the one in the middle are considered normal european clubgoers then do I really need to explain myself? It reminds me of basshunter. The real question is why not? Well that's a relief.
  15. guilty pleasure - something that brings pleasure but is considered taboo, unadvisable or lowbrow What's a guilty pleasure for one person doesn't have to be a guilty pleasure for another. Also, considering the fact that it's pretty taboo for a male to like Abba, it's certainly a guilty pleasure for him.
  16. Well now that these queue pics are coming up...I think I'll plan on getting to DC by 10am or so.
  17. Because it's supposed to coincide with the physical release of the album...and albums in Europe are released on Mondays, while albums in North America are released on Tuesdays.
  18. I lol'd. Awesomeness. European men frighten me.
  19. Josh42 replied to freckles's topic in The Lounge

  24. Lol I'm surprised you didn't catch that when you first saw it...
