Good advice for everyone. If your card arrives early, your match can always wait to open it if they want, but please don't delay postage to try and get time it's arrival for Christmas. And remember, if at all possible, SEND YOUR CARD VIA AIRMAIL :elf:

Yo ho ho, I've just sent the PM's to all Europeans on the list. Please read the instructions carefully and get scribbling :) If you have any problems, please contact the elf so sends you your match-up as they are the only person who knows who you're sending to (that way me and Lore both get a surprise in the mail too) :elf:

I think assigning more than one SS per person would be rather tricky - it's already quite difficult to keep track of who's sending to who. But we do try to cover every eventuality and we always have a small group of Coldplayers who step in and send extra cards if needed. The system we have works really well as long as everyone does the following: * Check your PM's regularly once you have signed up * Follow your instructions to the letter and keep in contact with the elves!

Aw, no need for shame, I think everyone's music taste changes quite radically as they grow up. If there'd been a Coldplay equivalent when I was a kid I'm sure I wouldn't have liked them :lol:

Gosh, I'd forgotten about the Kelly Family - they were really big in Germany when I lived there but I don't remember them ever releasing anything in England. They were very odd :thinking:

See, I used to find him charming... but I think it has worn off. He can be really closed off, like you said, very jaded - and while I understand why he might be like that, it doesn't make for an interesting interview. And a big pet peeve of mine when he is feeling upbeat, is how he apologises for everything and puts the band down. Don't apologise for being an incredibly successful artist, it's not humble, it's just annoying. This was an interesting point (I always find Miss Mich fascinating, even if I disagree with her :kiss:) Those interviews fall in to 2 catergories - pre-recorded ones (where they probably had loads of footage to pick the best bits from), and interviews with people he knows well, and respects and probably feels more comfortable with. And I understand why he's going to feel more at ease talking to Steve Lamacq than some random TV chat show host, but still, more of the others please.

Interesting that some people are saying "I don't buy singles". I wonder if that's a generational/technology thing - are you all kids of the dowload age? I was a kid in the 80's and I tended to buy singles rather than albums because it took me so long to save for an album (there's 4 or 5 years between my fist single and first album) Also interesting to see all the pop acts we were in to before Coldplay came along :P

And thankfully Will was there to pick up the pieces! Otherwise that presenter would probably just have filled the time with waffle about how crap Coldplay are!

I voted "Without" He can be very funny, and very charming but he also wanders off at all kinds of tangents and witters a lot. And if he's in a bad mood... forget about it! Loved Will's interview today - he's extremely articulate and always answers the questions put to him. I think Guy speaks well too - Jonny not so much, but usually he's interviewed with Chris and Chris tends to dominate things. I'm definitely more keen to listen when it's a Will/Guy interview than a Chris/jonny interview (Of course this is all based on radio/tv interviews - print media is just obsessed with Chris' domestic situation so they're always boring!)
