Secret Santa 2010.
So far! Still time for lots to go wrong :( I really hope everyone gets a card this year - there were only a few people who didn't get one last year, but we really want everyone to their card. If for any reason anyone can't send their card, please let your original elf know and they will find your recipient a new Santa :elf:

Secret Santa 2010.
So many PM's over the last few days, I feel so popular :p There are some coldplayers who haven't give their real name, or who have only given their first name - don't worry, there were people like that last year too and they recieved their cards. If people have passed their full names to us, we will to you :) Now all the PM's are sent I need to start thinking about the card I'm sending  I wish I was a creative as you guys!

Secret Santa 2010.
Right, all the Europeans should now have recieved their PM's. I also had 5 'Rest of the World' folks in my list and I've sent those too. As explained in the PM, if you have any questions/problems, please contact the elf who matched you as they are the only one who knows who you have got. In my efforts to get all the PM's tonight, it's possible that I may have missed off some of the real names  If your PM doesn't have the real name of the person, please feel free to PM me, although not everyone gave their real name, some just prefer to be known by their username only. Everyone seems really excited, which is great, just don't all pop your cards in the post this week! Let's try and have them all arrive in December. Logging off for the night now, but if any of my half of the draw PM me, I will reply as soon as possible. Night, night, Secret Santas!

Secret Santa 2010.
So the deadline for sign-ups is tonight!!! 11.59pm Chile time (that's GMT -3hrs) If you take a look at the list of particpants on the first post and can't see someone who you'd expect to be taking part, please give them a nudge today. It takes a while to make the match ups and we want to give you your pairings next weekend, so we really can't take any sign ups after the deadline has passed. Getting excited now... :elf:

Secret Santa 2010.
Patience, dear! :D The deadline for people to PM their addresses is 25th October. We'll get pairings out as soon as possible after that - it took about a week last time. The important thing is that people think about the card they're going to send but don't do it too quickly... or too slowly! Last year, a couple of people sent their cards as soon as they got their partner, which means people were recieving Christmas cards at the beginning of November. Meanwhile other people had partners thousands of miles away and seemed to think they could post their card on the 21st of December and it would still get there in time  And remember the golden rule... Please write the name of your country in the subject box so we'll try to pair you with someone from far away

Obviously I can't edit Lore's first post, so new sign ups won't be turning red in the next few days, but I have sent a PM to confirm those people have been added to the list :)

Secret Santa 2010.
We had several people who just gave their first name last year and they all recieved their cards. I think one or two just went by their Coldplying username. All the post office need is the full address :elf:

Secret Santa 2010.
Great to see so many people want to join in, Lore is working out all the details now :elf:

Secret Santa 2010.
Lore and I will put our elf heads together to work out dates and stuff but last year everyone had plenty of time to decide if they were in and plenty of time to make/buy their cards. The only snag is if you change your mind. A couple of people got in touch to say they could no longer participate, and we were able to make substitutions, but it seems one or two people just never bothered to send cards and that left people disappointed. On the whole, it went really well, wasn't too much work for us (that's fair, isn't it Lore? There was a bit if typing but it wasn't too complicated), and this thread had such a lovely, positive vibe. Spread the holiday love, people

Secret Santa 2010.
Remember, although it's called Secret Santa, if you don't celebrate Christmas, you could send a general holiday card :) Also, although some people did send a little gift to their recipient, the idea is really just to send a card - we want anyone to be able to take part and not have to worry about the cost of postage. I think again, Lore and myself will try and make sure you get a card from as far away as possible. :elf:

Ask the Oracle on Coldplay.com (Now in session!)
August 31, 2010 - submitted by Helmut, Austria Q. I learned that the band after a gig is instantly leaving the venue, not to come into a rush and catch their early plane back home. Since their are transpiring like hell during the show, do they still first have a shower before leaving? The Oracle replies: I'm pretty sure you mean perspiring Helmut but I love your English so don't take offence; my Austrian is non-existent! The band do leave the venue as soon as a show has finished and there's no time for a shower until they get back to the hotel/home. Basically it's a case of a wipe down with a towel in the back of the car! On the Viva tour they put fresh jackets/tops on before the encore but they tend to come off after the gig ends too.

Really nice answer to the girl with the older boyfriend. Good advice, I hope she follows it. And I really like that poster too - but I hope the girl didn't get ripped off!
