First Impressions of Mylo Xyloto (and vote in the 1-10 sliding scale poll!)
Charlie Brown is easily the best song on the album, and easily rivals Viva La Vida.

Princess of China: Worst Coldplay song ever?
I love this song.

First Impressions of Mylo Xyloto (and vote in the 1-10 sliding scale poll!)
This is not an album that you will fall in love with after the first listen. Like most traditional Coldplay albums it takes a few listens, but the music is good. I think this is a more substantial album than Viva la Vida, with a lot more replay value for me.

Coldplay on The Daily Show--June 25
That's what bothers me too. Like when they were playing Lost!, Guy is on the big drums and all is fine and dandy until he switches instruments, but there is no change whatsoever in the drum sounds, it's as if he wasn't playing at all. And I could swear I hear the piano in 42 where Chris goes "you thought you might be a ghost" but no one is playing on the piano. But overall it was a great performance.

Why does God continue to allow Coldplay (or Rolling Stone) to exist?
You sound like you've never actually heard a genuine coldplay song, and are just saying the same things many other critics who too have never heard a genuine coldplay song are saying. your post is what I call an epic failure.

Viva la Vida to be Top of Billboard Hot 100???!!!

Anyone Else Just Love Every New Song?
Every song is great, I've been listening to this from start to finish over again ever since it leaked, I can't listen to anything else!

Knock it off Coldplay (Chris) I'm Just Sick Of It Already...
The band's stand on plagiarism is this "we are the most enthusiastic but worst plagiarists out there, we'll try and copy anything, but we fail spectacularly. So we go and find a sound that is us" or something like that.

American version should be out earlier also
I think they wanted to avoid confrontation with Lil wayne.
-
Viva La Vida (album) won't hit number 1 in the US
VLV is #2 on iTunes US and it isn't even out yet, it will surely beat lil wayne's trash when it does come out.

Martin walks out of BBC interview
They're going to blow this way bigger than it really is, "journalistic twisting" lol it sounds like there was an epidemic of sorts in the interview with that.

Overplayed
With Coldplay, you either love them or you don't. But their music does take a dedicated listener to appreciate, yeah on the first couple of listens most of their stuff will sound dull, it sounded dull to me, and it sounded dull to my sister. But she stopped after the first couple of times, but I gave it another shot, and the more I listened the more I began to appreciate the music, the melodies, the lyrics etc... Coldplay are not like pop music in that it's not instantly catchy, sure there are some songs that are but most of their stuff does take a while to get. But unlike songs that are instantly catchy, they never get old to me, I have listened to them so much and still ain't bored of the songs. Coldplay are NOT solely for people with "troubled" lives, people who are overly sensitive or people who have love and lost (I have experienced neither). What attracts people like myself to them is that despite their size, they are able to make it seem as if the song is written for you and you alone. In other words they can be very personal (not so much with their newer stuff though). But the music in general is very beautiful, like the melody at the end of Politik, the riff and vocals in Clocks and In My Place, the laid back melody but serious content of Trouble. Then there is Chris Martin's voice, which again is like no other and sounds very personal and emotional at the same time, yearning in Yellow, begging at the end of In My Place, and somewhat sad in Trouble. He is able to transfer a large range of emotions through the music with his vocals, unlike most other music where vocalists either get across anger (often times not so convincingly) or sadness (also often very fake and forced). But this is one place where many are divided on Coldplay, you either like Martin's voice or you don't, personally I think it's one of the best in the business. Finally the band itself is so down to earth, modest, and polite that well they become role models for younger kids and appeal to a large range of age groups, including both older and younger folk like myself. They don't fit in the rock cliche, aren't womanizers, drug and alcohol addicts, heavy partiers, have tattoos everywhere and smash their instruments at the end of their performances. Instead they stand up for what they believe in, genuine issues, and aren't afraid to do so. So those are just some of the few reasons why I like Coldplay. I can tell you haven't really listened to them though, which is a big mistake when it comes to judging this band. If you want to truly understand why they are so popular then you need to get a hold of all their albums, and listen to them thoroughly before you decide. The stuff you hear on the radio are catchy, but not their best. BTW I have to add that just because they are my and many others' favorite band, it doesn't mean they're the only thing we listen to. I love discovering new music, and listen to a ton of other stuff too. But few have been as timeless or as high quality as Coldplay. But hey, most of America is into Lil'wayne at the moment, and Fergie and Flo-Rida, that stuff is absolute trash and most of the bashing needs to be directed there.

[Daily Mail] Are Coldplay the worst thing that's happened to rock?(ADD YOUR COMMENT!)
The worst thing that's happened to music is critics like this guy, who wouldn't know good music if it crawled up their asses and brought them to orgasm through prostate stimulation.

Another long ass wait for LP5?
They've said they're going to release a whole bunch of songs they didn't feel fit this album as a new album in a year - year and a half. Before the decade closes.
