  1. IKNOW!!!! I was thinking the same thing, Ive actually been monitoring the Pit seats on livenation.com since they have went on sale, there hasn't been a day were the Pit section was not available, I thought i got lucky at first getting ahold of two....Usually the Pits for Post Gazette sell VERY quickly. If you go to the Click N' Pick Seat map on Livenation.com for the show its says there is still 1 Pit ticket available, There were 2 available yesterday.... :stunned: It REALLY makes me curious as to how big the PIT is or is going to be. From what i remember going to the Post Gazette Pavilion the PIT held about 50 people... maybe? From the looks of it with all these dots on the Click N' Pick option. It appears that there are over 500 people in the PIT....Does anyone know how many people there are going to be ? or How big the section is? Its really going to suck if there's over 500 people there in the Pit with me, Looking over all those heads isnt getting me too excited(if its true). I guess arrive there really early and try to get in front? Click N' Pick PIT availability: http://tickets.livenation.com/cgi-bin/tickets.htm?fun=tdetailb&doc=detailb&key=597$2760&eid=405542&oid=07E3F343F663F127A3F3F6D701525163F3F377A&fun=tdetailb&id=EC2_NO_SESSION&doc=detailb&key=597$2760&affiliate=EC2&referer_info=405542#
  2. Digital camera's I figured i would post a thread to find out what kind of digital camera's people use for Live gigs, I'm in the situation right now where i don't own one yet, but will be going to a few concerts this summer, Including Coldplay where ill have pretty good seats and want to take some good pictures, So ill be purchasing one in the next couple days. I know you cant take Professional Camera's (DSLR) to a show but am told USUALLY its not a big deal to bring a regular digital camera in. I know mega pixels don't matter , it just makes the picture more capable of being blown up. I'm not into all that editing and all. I just want some clear High-Definition picture. What kind of camera do you use when going to live gigs? And if you have pictures, Could you please post them on this thread and include the made and model of your camera? ...Or if you don't own one yet and heard good reviews about a certain digital camera could you let me in on what it is? :)
  3. Im really glad this topic was braught up, Im going to be buying a camera because i need one and because ill be seeing coldplay from the PITT. I want a camera that takes clear pictures but is under 200$. I was looking at Nikon Coolpix, Canon Powershot and Sony Cybershot. I want a camera that will take High definetion pictures. I realize this is a professional camera. But will a small digital camera(maybe one of the ones that i mentioned) produce similar like Clear Photos as the ones shown? If so which brand of camera? I heard Megapixels doesnt really matter, its just for blowing a picture up. I dont care much about that. I just want a clear picture from the PITT! It would be a shame me being so close and ending up with crappy pictures :laugh3:
  4. We played Sparks today and we've been playing Rush Of Blood To The Head, Thats all i needed to hear, made my day, Sparks live would be unbelievabe. 59 more days~~~~

  6. So your saying if i baught a vinyl of parachutes and threw it on stage with a marker it just for it to be given to charity.... What kind of charity is this! Can i be apart of it, I need some coldplay stuff!
  7. Pittsburgh fans want Warning sign too! If this reaches any bandmember, please think about playing See you soon again as well!!!
  8. I know a few concerts that ive been to at the very end of the show(usually) after the bow some fans throw random things on stage, which sometimes includes a marker and something that someone would like autographed :)......For instance when i saw Roger Waters live in Cleveland someone threw their Dark Side of the Moon program on stage along with a marker and Roger signed it and literally just handed it back to the fan that threw it on(what was the front row).....My question is, ive got Pit tickets for their Pittsburgh show and i expect to be as close as i can possible get....At the end of the show would i be wasting my time and money if say i bought a parachutes vinyl and threw it on stage with a marker? OR better yet has anyone thrown anything on stage at the end and had any of the band members sign anything for them, if so what did you get signed and how did you do it?
  9. wow reign of love is truly amazing Thanks alot of the explanations Tnspieler1012, after you explaining they dont use too much backtrack now that i realize it is a necessity, i appreciate your friendlyness and your toleration for my nasty attitude :D
  10. Im seriously done talking about this sell out bull crap, im setting in my mind that they changed their sound not to sell more records and to instead change due to an experimental process and to not have the same sound in the case that they might become bored with the 'same old same old' ....im saying nothing more, its only making me more upset... Regarding your comment CPfan50 about the backing tracks , thats fine . I went through Vivas ablum and picked out some possible backtracks, i wanted to be aware and not surprised for when i see them live and up close that what backtracks should I to expect and not to expect to hear live...Here is what i found unknown instrument in the beginging on life in technicolor - is it an accoustic guitar that Guy or Johnny is 'picking'? clapping in cemetries in london - Do they all clap along here? Stomping/clapping, tamberine, banjo? and keyboard in Lost Voilin in 42 - I think this was already answered - No coldplay member plays the violin live? keyboards/sound effects in lovers in japan backround sound effects in reign of love (please tell me chris plays the piano and not anything else) Violin and sound effects in Yes Voilin and sound effects in Viva La Vida background sound effects in violet hill clapping and is that Johnnys guitar in the background of strawberry swing? and lastly....sound effects (at the end of death and all his friend) If anyone who has seen them live could please answer which backtracks are used and which are performed on stage live it would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you
  11. I hope you realize you pretty much in your own words right there called Coldplay sellouts, You might not understand the definetion of a sell out so i decided to look it up for you.... sell out : when a band/singer/rapper changes their music/style in order to sell records sell out: Anyone who sacrifices artistic integrity in an effort to become more successful or popular (generally in music); someone who forgets their roots. i hate to say this put i think you just made me come to the conclusion that yes they are becoming sellouts....I missing my Parachutes and AROBTTH sound...Im sure if you'de ask the fans the majority like their 'old' music to their 'new' music im not saying anything else regarding this because i feel i am putting coldplay down.. To answer roche714's questions... Of coarse other bands use backtracks, however i dont agree with the use of them. It to me takes away from the live on stage experience. I hope you take no offence to this but if you think using a backtracks for live performances is a positive thing then i really dont find you too musically intelligent. You cant compare Radiohead or rush to coldplay when it comes to using backtracks because neither radiohead or rush have backtracks. I was told by Tnspieler that "songs like VLV demand an instrumentation that exceeds the capabilities of 4 people." My point to him was Rush has 3 band members and they play multiple instruments. Same as radiohead playing multiple instruments but with 5 members. Hell even Chris puts Radiohead as an uncomparable band...and chris at one time requested them to play with them/compose a song and Thom refused to because he personally hates coldplay and feels how i do now that they have become sellouts.. BTW thanks for the Interview with the violinist.
  12. Oops mistype on radiohaed, But my point still stands still. Play live with a violin would be far better than having a tape play it in the background...lol i still find it funny that no1 even knows who this violinist even is That and Rap music and coldplay in my opinion do not mix, no matter who raps with them. ...what im saying about 'change' is its getting kinda extreme. I dont like the Techno sound as much as i liked the classic sound as from parachutes or arobtth.
  13. What you said did made me feel better about them compared to how i felt before , there are only 4 group members and i do understand that it is difficult to put an extra instrument in the hands of Will...however i would like to see someone in the background playing the violin live than hearing a recording, it doesnt have to be any of coldplays band members but someone(preferably the original composer) playing the violin.........but then again kinda look at bands like radiohead(4 members bass, guitar, vocals, keyboards/sound effects, drums) or even Rush(3 band members with bass, guitar, vocals, keyboards and drums)and see that they do all everything with what members they have and if you would ask either band(or even most bands) now adays that you would play a tape in the background while they play that they will probably laught at you...but you cant really compare bands like radiohead or rush to coldplay though... And about your 'changing the sound quote' i totally dis-agree, if you read quotes from Chris when Viva first came out Chris says specifically that they listened to their manager before producing the viva album on how they wanted to sound as a group from then on out and took their managers advise. I feel their manager didn't like the old sound and wanted some what of a new sound, this is how bands 'sell out' or get 'trendy'.....which you can obviously hear the 'new' sound from an album like parachutes to viva...they sound completely different...vivas got more of a techno type of sound to it, where as in parachutes there is not 1 techno backround sound on the entire album...Think of it like this, would you ever imagine Chris asking Jay-Z to make a remix off any songs from parachutes or AROBTTH? ......Hmmmm,, Shiver with Jay-Z....NOW THATS A THOUGHT.
  14. I just found out out that they dont have a violinist on stage but have it the voilin playing off a cd in the backround for their Viva songs. Im going to say that thats already my biggest disappointment with Coldplay live and i havent seen them yet since the X&Y tour. Anyone who has anything positive to say about a violin playing off a tape in the backround of Chris Martins voice is a...excuse me for my choice of words.....Freakin idiot. As i said in another post...what is next them taping Wills drums or Guys bass? ...First to name the damn violinst to that plays in 75% of Vivas ablum gets a pat on the back because no1 seems to even know who he/she is.
  15. Thanks for the responces. So its more about todays war, but them dressing up as revolutionary war solders....thats a bit confusing... I cant say i like the idea of no1 even knowing who the violinist is, meanwhile whoever he is hes a huge chunk of the ablum or that no1 is playing the violin on the stage but is playing off a speaker...ahhh thats not cool at all.....Whats next lip syncing or no more guitar...Think of bands who use recordings instead of the real deal....all im thinking of is pop groups.....Im going to see them live soon, but i highly doubt its going to compare to their live performances between the 2003-2006 era ok im really putting down coldplay, im kinda depressed now. Damn the manager for changing their 'original sound' found in parachutes and arobtth
  16. I was wondering if anyone would be able to answer me regarding two topics that have been making me really curious....im hearing different answers from coldplay fans and its really making me confused... I noticed for in alot of the ablum 'Viva la Vida' there is a ton of violin...Who plays the violin? Or is this from a keyboard? Do they play the violin on the stage for their live performances? If so who does? -and- Is Viva la Vida based off the French Revolutionary War or the 'todays' war? What inspired Chris to be compose about the war?
  17. Lost with Jay-Z, I just think its so cheezy and still cant put Chris and Jay-Z together.
  18. alsisla, Thats so awesome, Seems you got a bit lucky, ive never heard ticketmaster do such an upgrade, i wonder what they do with the old tickets...probably just release them
  19. If Chris came up to you today and said "We picked your name out of all a fan list bucket and are leaving it up to you as to what songs to play on our next show, could you please create a setlist for us"...:laugh3: What songs would you pick? Mine would have to be Shiver Spies Sparks Trouble We never change GPASUYF Scientist Green Eyes Warning Sign AROBTTH Amsterdam White shadows Talk Swallowed in the sea Moses See you Soon Life in technicolor Lovers in japan strawberry swing ... Encore Dont Panic One i love Politik
  20. I definetly understand that....I just hope by the time the Burgettstown show rolls around time will have progressed enough for them to play more Parachutes and AROBTTH. My dream performance would be something like: Shiver Spies Sparks Trouble We never change GPASUYF Scientist Green Eyes Warning Sign AROBTTH Amsterdam White shadows Talk Swallowed in the sea Moses See you Soon Life in technicolor Lovers in japan strawberry swing ... Encore Dont Panic One i love Politik What about everyone else, does that sound good? :D
