  1. Both versions of "Morning Bell" by Radiohead are sooo annoying to me.
  2. I laughed at those... a lot more than I should have. Amazing.
  3. Wahoo, me too. Well, that and Pretty. Odd. by Panic at the Disco. I need to go out and purchase Narrow Stairs but probably won't until I get Coldplay's new album.

I liked In Our Bedroom After The War. "Meet Me at the Riot" is the only song I remember though haha... I have a feeling I'll like them a lot one day when I listen to Set Yourself on Fire.
  5. No solo has really "wow"ed me as much as Gilmour's solo in "Comfortably Numb". Just something about it, I looked mental one time at a shopping mall, I literally froze up while listening to it and didn't even notice all the people walking around me. It freaks me out... amazing song.
  6. Lyricist I can relate to.
  7. "A Message", a friend sent it to me and said it reminded her of me. It changed me, literally. Perfect song.
  8. I've always found the drum pattern of "In My Place" to be similar to the drum pattern of "High & Dry" by Radiohead... and the layout of "Yellow" to be sort of similar to "High & Dry". But besides that, I don't see much else. Dumb comparison, always has been.
  9. I like them, but the guy's voice isn't the most wonderful thing ever. It fits the music though, and I've only listened to them like once... I'm sure with more listens it will become more pleasing. I love his album covers, though.

    Thanks everyone.:)
  11. Me trying to be Bob Dylan. XP
  12. This is going to sound disgusting, I know, but Panic at the Disco's new album was shocking. I generally hate most of the poppy-emo culture they're now a piece of, but their second album was the biggest change of a band I've ever heard. It was folk-y, psychedelic, gorgeous songs and insanely fun, upbeat rocking tunes. It's like a modern-day Sgt. Pepper. It's called Pretty. Odd., and I know it just sounds lame - I mean, come on, Panic at the Disco? But it's excellent, my favorite of the year so far.
  13. Anyone heard the 8 songs that leaked from their new album? A lot of people seem to be hating on them, but I think they're insanely fun or wonderful. "Heart Songs" is adorable and "The Greatest Man To Ever Live" is like Queen on steroids - which you know can't go wrong.
  14. I always thought it was funny a lot of Coldplay fans also like Muse. I'm also one, I got into both bands around the same time, they were my introductions to "modern rock" music. Both are insanely different, but both are amazing. I saw these guys live last year and I don't expect anyone to be as brilliant or as perfectly tight as they were. Probably the best rock band in the world at the moment. Can't even pick a favorite album... all are good in some way. The new leaked demos from '96-'97 are impressive too.
  15. I just went with basic balcony seats. I'm still new to concerts and can't be bothered with much else, I'm just there to watch the band. Insanely pumped though, finally getting to see them! I think it'll be a great show, and I hope all of you get your tickets you desire. :D The Palace isn't a bad place all around, I saw Paul McCartney there around three years ago and I enjoyed it. I'm sure these guys will blow my mind. I'm expecting tears down my face from it. :laugh3:

Hello everyone! My name is Dean, I'm 16 years old and from the state of Michigan in the United States. I've been a Coldplay fan for a much shorter time that most of you probably, getting into them when they played at Live 8 in 2005, and my friend sending me their song "A Message", which remains one of my favorite songs of all-time. My favorite Coldplay album (and all-around album) is the over-hated X&Y, but I love the other two just as well, and from the tracks leaked/released from Viva la Vida, it sounds like they're on there way to making a masterpiece. Outside of Coldplay, I enjoy bands like Rilo Kiley (you may know them, they opened for Coldplay in '05, gutted I didn't ever see that!), Muse, The Beatles, etc. Pretty basic taste, check my last.fm account for more. Besides bands... well, music makes up much of my life. This summer I am hoping to start a band, like every other teenager. I play guitar, bass, clarinet, a little bit of keyboard and drums as well. Hope to see you all around! Viva la vida!
