  1. ^^ Exactly. And as I said earlier, it's not because you're a fan of a band that you lose all your sense of criticism towards what they make. We're not all blind fans who think that because it's made by Coldplay that it's pure genius and gold. I love Coldplay, still am a big fan, it is still my favourite band, but these lyrics suck big time.
  2. Where are all the people with some sense of judgement who won't blindly like anything because it's made by four other human beings that are playing in a band? Hello? Hello?
  3. I'm downloading :D
  4. Beware the fangirly attack :wreck:
  5. I love how Briggins went all Canadian and added the 'eh?' at the end of the thread title.
  6. Well do you remember which tracks they were? Aahhhhhh are you serious about the voice thing? :bigcry: I am absolutely in love with the guy's voice, I just can't help it :dazzled: I guess we do have different tastes more than we thought  OMG :cheesy: yay! :wacky: but surely, you know half the artists on the mixtape, no?
  7. That people like to call at 9AM every day on the first free week of a student's vacation.
  8. ^^ You're not alone.
  9. Thank you  and yup
  10. Arf I hate Passion Pit :P Except for one song though and I quite like TNAF.
  11. Nope! They're Thirteen Senses, a not so well known band from the UK with a lot of talent and this song is their most famous, it was used in a movie (Les Chevaliers de l'air, I think?). One of my favourite bands. Mew? :/ The band is Anberlin but this is a cover from a 1990 track called Enjoy The Silence originally performed by Depeche Mode. I thought I'd spice it up with a more rock-ish track. Ugh! good! I was scared of your reaction to this one, as it is very different form the rest of the tape. Ou Est Le Swimming Pool - Dance The Way I Feel. How dare you!!!!!! hahaha just kidding. Depeche Mode, in their original form with the song Precious. Yep it's Beirut! I was an absolute creep and I looked at almost your whole last.fm charts and I saw you hadn't listened to that one song. It's my favourite one. I'm seeing them this summer and I am sooo pumped. Yep! I knew you had listened to the band before but not to this specific track and this one just brings up so many emotions when I listen to it. The Same Deep Water As Me is the title of the song. I am so glad you love it, it's one of my favourites of all time. It's Old Crow Black Night Stand Still by Hey Rosetta! The band is Canadian, may I point out. :charming: It's very ambient. Chris (Tnspieler1012) put it on my mixtape a year ago and it was love at first sight. The band's name is Hammock. hahahaha I thought they were female vocals too!! and everyone does (or almost) until we look up the artist hehe. Yeah it's actually a guy, don't feel embarassed, he oes sound like a girl haha. Absofacto - Synthesocietal. Yep I knew you'd recognize them, but this song is my favourite of them and you hadn't listened to it yet on last.fm hehe. CHOOSE THE NATIONAL!!!!!!!!!!!! Okkervil River is a band that is often said to have more of a 80's or 90's feel to it, when it's actually quite recent. Great band btw, had a hard time picking one song. AHH YOUR LAST.FM LIED. Psht. It said you hadn't lsitened to this one yet haha. and I agree with you 100% on this (even though Eddie doesn't). The Rumour Said Fire, a danish band. The song is Sentimentally Falling, first single of their first album and quite catchy, I must say. Wooo! It's The Rumour Said Fire again, with their most popular song called The Balcony. I'm happy to hear this  Thank you  All in all, here's is the tracklisting: 1. Into The Fire - Thirteen Senses 2. Enjoy the Silence (Depeche Mode cover) - Anberlin 3. Dance The way I Feel - Ou est Le Swimming Pool 4. Precious - Depeche Mode 5. Guyamas Sonora - Beirut 6. The Same Deep Water As Me - I Am Kloot 7. Old Crow Black night Stand Still - Hey Rosetta! 8. Raising Your Voice... Trying to Stop an Echo - Hammock 9. Synthesocietal - Absofacto 10. Conversation 16 - The National 11. Black - Okkervil River 12. Girls Like You - The Naked and Famous 13. Sentimentally Falling - The Rumour Said Fire 14. The Balcony - The Rumour Said Fire Link: http://www.mediafire.com/?b1k5hfpuj1h742c lololololololeddie
  12. Rihanna, Eminem, Kid Cudi. DUH SARA.
  13. I just started listening to them very recently, Jump In The Pool has got this unexplainable hold on me... I need to listen to their last album though, but so far, me gusta
  14. Wow, thank you very much again and people should download it, it's good and different :nice:
  15. woah nice city :surprised:
  16. I agree with what's there hehe.
  17. well you gotta admit that even Violet hill (first single of VLVODAAHF) was much more lyrically developped. but I realize that it's no use arguing with you all, it won't change anything, and it's a personal opinion.
  18. oh yeah baby :charming:
  19. I agree that they need to evolve and do something different, but this different thing shouldn't lack in originality :/ I was expecting something magical lyrically, like they did in their previous albums. This is a little too simple and cheesy. I don't think they are 'evolving' cause it feels right to do it, but this might just sound a little too simple for what Coldplay is able to do. Hate me if you want to, I love Coldplay, but I'm scared.
  20. okay, well I listened to mine two times and let me be the first one to post a review! 1. Calm first song. Sounds a little retro, maybe from the organs and the voice. Not exactly my thing, but I didn't dislike it. 2. Ehhhhhhhhhh. Weird song. We can hear the bass very well. But I just don't like it, I'm sorry. 3. It has sort of the same atmosphere as the previous song. I just can't really get into this. I'm sorry. 4. I KNOW THIS I HAVE HEARD IT BEFORE. It's Björk. Very interesting and scary hahaha. 5. Ooooooo I like this one. I love the use of an orchestra with it. Beautiful. All giddy and cheerful. What language is this? 6. Calm. Nice. I don't really know what else to say. It's not bad! 7. Another calm one. I like the banjo/guitar (can't really make up my mind what kind of instrument it is?). Not bad at all. 8. I know that song too. It's uhm. I DON'T REMEMBER. Broken Social Scene? Anthems for seventeen year-old girl? My girlfriend loooooved that one. 'Park That Car, Drop That Phone, Sleep On The Floor, Dream About Me'. I have this album, I need to listen to it again and pay more attention to it. This song is brilliant. 9. It's nice. Nice guitar and piano. Not exactly my kind of thing, but quite soothing. 10. Hmm not bad. Not my favourite though. But not bad. 11. SOME OF THEM WANT TO ABUSE YOU SOME OF THEM WANT TO BE ABUSED. Nice cover. Very very interesting. Might be a favourite of the mixtape. 12. OMG that sounds like Era. New age. I haven't listened to that kind of music in a long time. I actually love it. 13. Oooh great finale with a beautiful classical piece with an opera singer. Very very nice. So, all in all, I enjoyed my mixtape, it was quite different than what I usually hear and I love how I keep getting partners who open my musical horizons! Favourite tracks: 5 7 8 11 12
  21. No I think the guys look hot, honestly. But the title.. I know Coldplay is cheesy, but this obvious and this much? The title and the lyrics are quite lacking originality, they have done a whole lot better in their previous albums. And the artwork, as my friend Alina (coldplay.obsessed) said, looks like it was made with Word Art. :/ I'll wait to hear the song, maybe the music is brilliant, but it's scaring me.
