The cheek kissing was really weird for me at first. :wreck: They do that all the time in Spain and usually you shake hands here and say "Hey, my name's ..." ... no the Spanish tell you their name and kiss you on the cheeks. I don't know how many strangers did the cheek kiss thing with me when I lived in Spain. :wreck:

I always assumed it was a Jewish thing ... I don't think it gets done on a regular basis here.

One thing I don't get is why some men are so keen on keeping the family name alive, even if it sucks ... I mean, I'm so damn happy that my father didn't insist that my mother takes his last name. It's awful, awful, awful and deserves to die out ... and yet one of his brothers desperately wanted to keep it (the other one didn't, so that makes 2 out of 3 brothers who got rid of that name once they were married).

Well, my friend's brother is like 2.10m ... people are not only joking when they say that he'll have to sit down to kiss any girl ... sucks to be too tall too. Probably belongs into the tall army thread, but I'm to lazy to look for it. :wacko:
