Secret Santa 2012
Perfect timing! I just received a wonderful Christmas Eve package from Danceteacher: A beautiful card, three great tree ornaments, a lovely post card of the old city hall in Bonn, and a photo and tattoo from an Oxfam table that she volunteered at recently in Germany! Such a great surprise. Thanks, Jelena! Wishing everyone a peaceful holiday, Bob F. Oxfam America

Hey Coldplayers- I've just learned that quite a few volunteer spots remain for the Texas shows, and we still need applicants for most of the rest of the shows on the tour. Oxfam America call for volunteers for all US dates!
Hey Coldplayers- A quick note of thanks to all of you who volunteered with Oxfam America at the shows on the just-ended first US leg of the Mylo Xyloto tour! And apologies to those of you who applied but were not selected. Thankfully for us we had lots of applicants for these shows, so unfortunately we couldn't choose everyone. And thanks to all the Coldplay fans who signed up at the shows with Oxfam's GROW Campaign to fix the broken food system. Together, we're making a difference! We're still accepting applicants for the rest of the shows in the US later in the tour. If you are interested, please go to: http://www.oxf.am/ouo and sign up there. Our volunteers had a ball on the first bunch of dates, and at last night's show at the Hollywood Bowl, Chris Martin came out before the show to greet our volunteers personally. Hope you'll join us at future dates if you can. And in the meantime, follow the Oxfam tour blog at: http://www.oxfam.org/coldplay and follow our Tour Coordinator, Rachel, on Twitter at @oxfamontour. Thanks again, Bob Ferguson Oxfam America

Thanks so much to everyone who has applied so far! We really value the support of Coldplaying.com members! We just got a shipment of the special edition Oxfam/Coldplay volunteer t-shirts in, and they look amazing. We can't wait to see them on our volunteers! Spaces are filling up nicely for most shows so far, but we have many spots still available for the Seattle, Portland, and San Jose shows. If you know folks in those areas that may be interested, please consider sharing the recruitment page link with them: http://www.oxf.am/ouo Thanks again!

Oxfam America call for volunteers for all US dates!
Hey Coldplayers! Wanted to let you know that Oxfam America has opened its volunteer application page for every date on the coming Coldplay US tour: http://oxf.am/ouo We're looking for 20 people at each date to help us reach out to fellow Coldplay fans with information about Oxfam's GROW campaign for a future where everyone has enough to eat. More info on our work on the tour can be found here: http://oxfamontour.org/coldplay/ It's a great way to do some good, spend some time with fellow Coldplay fans who are passionate about social justice, and see Coldplay for free! I hope you'll join us, and if you can't, please share this info with anyone whom you think might be interested. Thanks,

Oxfam America Make Trade Fair Shirt Giveaway Hey Philly & Jersey Coldplayers! Since our giveaway of the rare Oxfam Make Trade Fair shirt contest in West Palm Beach went so well, we're going to do it again at the Susquehanna Center on Tuesday night! If you are the first person to come to the Oxfam booth, sign our petition, and say "Hello, may I have the Make Trade Fair shirt?", it's all yours. Here's a photo of Louis, the guy who won the shirt in Florida: Even if you don't want to try for the shirt, please stop by and say hello! We love to meet up with our friends from Coldplaying.com! 15-May-2009: Cruzan Amphitheatre, West Palm Beach, FL, USA
Hey Coldplayers! Oxfam America spent the day with the Coldplay crew yesterday in West Palm Beach gearing up for the tour...looks like it's going to be a spectacular run of shows! Before we made the trip to Florida, we uncovered a couple now-rare Oxfam Make Trade Fair t-shirts in storage, featuring the MTF equal-sign logo that Chris Martin famously wore on his hand a few years back. To celebrate the start of the tour, we'd love to give one of these super-collectible shirts to the first person to come to our table at the show tonight in WPB, signs our petition, and says "I saw your note on Coldplaying.com, may I have the shirt?" If you are going to the show tonight, or at any stop on the tour, stop by our table and say hello! We love to meet friends from Coldplaying.com! http://www.oxfamamerica.org/resources/images/logos/logo_h_ko_bw.gif

Coldplay & Oxfam: 2009 Concert Volunteer Applications - Some spaces still available, see P5 for deta
Hey Coldplayers- Just a quick note to thank all of you who have signed up to volunteer at upcoming Coldplay shows in the US! To quickly answer some of the questions I've seen on this thread: -Yes, you'll get to see the show for free! You'll interact with other Coldplay fans up until a few minutes before the show, then you'll get to enjoy the concert. Just before it ends, you'll meet back up with all the other volunteers to reach-out to folks as they leave the building. -Pete won't be traveling on this tour for us, but Soha will! You may have read her blogs after she covered for Pete on the last few dates of the last US leg. She's very cool, super smart, lots of fun, and actually came to Oxfam America as a Coldplay fan at a concert in LA! She'll be blogging away, just as Pete did, so I hope you'll all follow her travels around the country with the band. -As far as age requirements go, you should be 18 or older, unless you'll have a family member who is 18+ volunteering with you. -To stay up to date with Oxfam America on Facebook, join us here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Oxfam-America/15041226930 -To follow us on Twitter, go to: http://www.twitter.com/oxfamamerica -There are still a few slots left at most shows, so if you are interested, please sign up at: http://www.oxfamamerica.org/concerts And finally, a big thank you and shout-out to the good people who run and moderate Coldplaying.com for all the help and support! It's very much appreciated! Thanks,

US Third leg of the tour CONFIRMED!
This is definitely NOT confirmed! As for as I know, it's only a rumour. I've had no conversations with anyone officially in the know, only fans who passed that rumour on to me. Hopefully it's true, but please let me state again...more dates are NOT confirmed by me or by Oxfam. Thanks, Bob F.

Pete's Oxfam Blog - the Autumn US leg
Ha! I'm the "nice man" in the photo. Thanks for the compliment! And yeah, I'm the guy who works on behalf of Oxfam America in the music industry, with great Oxfam supporters like Coldplay, Arcade Fire, Bloc Party, Crowded House, DJ Shadow, LCD Soundsystem, Tegan & Sara, and many, many more. I'm also the guy who has been posting here and corresponding with all the great folks on this board who have volunteered with us and have asked amazing questions about what Oxfam does and how Coldplay fans might be able to help. And your observations are correct, Pete is a fantastic guy and a great ambassador of all the great things Oxfam is about! If you do happen to see him at a show, tell him you are reading his blogs, and ask him anything you'd like about Oxfam. He's a wealth of information. Thanks again for all the support! -Bob F. http://www.oxfamamerica.org
