Hey Coldplayers- A quick note of thanks to all of you who volunteered with Oxfam America at the shows on the just-ended first US leg of the Mylo Xyloto tour! And apologies to those of you who applied but were not selected. Thankfully for us we had lots of applicants for these shows, so unfortunately we couldn't choose everyone. And thanks to all the Coldplay fans who signed up at the shows with Oxfam's GROW Campaign to fix the broken food system. Together, we're making a difference! To quickly answer some of the questions I've seen on this thread: -Yes, you'll get to see the show for free! You'll interact with other Coldplay fans up until a few minutes before the show, then you'll get to enjoy the concert. Just before it ends, you'll meet back up with all the other volunteers to reach-out to folks as they leave the building. -Pete won't be traveling on this tour for us, but Soha will! You may have read her blogs after she covered for Pete on the last few dates of the last US leg. She's very cool, super smart, lots of fun, and actually came to Oxfam America as a Coldplay fan at a concert in LA! And yeah, I'm the guy who works on behalf of Oxfam America in the music industry, with great Oxfam supporters like Coldplay, Arcade Fire, Bloc Party, Crowded House, DJ Shadow, LCD Soundsystem, Tegan & Sara, and many, many more. I'm also the guy who has been posting here and corresponding with all the great folks on this board who have volunteered with us and have asked amazing questions about what Oxfam does and how Coldplay fans might be able to help.
