  1. Honestly, this album didn't blow me away on first listen, but I think that's because I knew what to expect. I'd gobbled up every single leaked song and every tidbit of news and info about the album. I'd already heard half the album. But the second time I listened, I was captivated by it, and now I've been listening to it non-stop. It was a different story with X&Y though. At that time, Coldplay was my favorite band, but I didn't really keep up with the news and stuff. I didn't know they were coming out with a new album until I heard "Speed of Sound" on the radio. Needless to say when I bought that album on the day it came out, I had no idea what to expect, and I was blown away from the very first second. I digress, as I'm getting off the subject. VLV is their best album yet, in my opinion. And I truly do respect other opinions because in such an opinionated field as music, there's no such thing as right or wrong.
  2. I think it's great! You should sing some Elbow.
  3. Are you sure you've thought that through? For some reason I don't think it'd be good to have two satirical comedians at the helm of our country.
  4. And the other song on it? Like, the true demo version? If so, could you send it to me?
  5. It definitely is dude. So so beautiful!
  6. wtf is a "type of person"? stereotypes are no fun.
  7. lmfao @ "shotgun-in-the-mouth fagcore"
  8. Yeah dude, he said "fox" on Kimmel. I seriously thought he was drunk.
  9. After listening to the new LP NONSTOP since the leak, I decided to take a nice retrospective on Coldplay's career. Favorite LP: Viva la Vida Favorite EP: Brothers & Sisters I might add that I found the Brothers & Sisters EP (though worst album art I've EVER seen) to be my very favorite of their releases. It's just refreshing to hear how the biggest band in the world has come from such humble beginnings. It's also great when you can still appreciate a band's earliest stuff even after they've totally blown up. What are your favorite Coldplay releases?
  10. lmfao they can say "cum" on the radio?
  11. Is anyone else's sound quality taking hits every now and then?
  12. I think they said he's their engineer.
  13. For those of you who don't know, the TRUE quality version has finally leaked, and can be found in the scene advance torrent. After hearing the real thing, I think the track itself is a bit disappointing. To me, the crescendo just doesn't seem... large enough. That's not quite the word I'm looking for, but it's just a bit dissatisfying. Anyone else heard the real thing?
  14. ^^^ "Talk" "to my surprise"
  15. Ok, thank you
  16. I don't want you guys to think this has been a joke, but you've all made me feel a bit better already. Thank you so much for your thoughts and support, seriously. Is there any way I can close this thread?
  17. i'm so so so sorry i've mislead you... you have dysthymia confused with synaesthesia, i believe. dysthymia is just a form of depression.
  18. Dysthymia (as depression) is a facade set in place to justify utter failure.
  19. Gosh, I feel like such a piece of shit.
  20. Yes, I've been dealing with it since 2005 at the latest. It gets rough at times, especially the past week or so. Sometimes there's just so much coming down at once, and I get overwhelmed. I'm failing in school, I'm striking out with girls, I'm losing friends, I'm becoming detached from my family, and my father does nothing but call me horrible names. Sometimes I feel like I can't take it any longer.
  21. Thank you for offering advice. I might take you up on that offer sometime soon.
  22. I've actually taken up electronic music production in the past few months and I'm having a bit of fun with it. I used to play the guitar back a few years ago, but I lost interest. Maybe I should try picking it up again.
  23. Oh gosh, how could I forget about that? My mother got 3 floor seats for her birthday, and she invited me. But please something else. Please.
  24. Coldplay's new album was the last thing keeping me from painting the walls with brains, and now I've heard it. Please give me something else for which to live (besides the physical release and "Life in Technicolour" in CD quality).
  25. Gosh, I love this song. It's probably my favorite, with "Cemeteries of London" in second place. "Strawberry Swing" was actually the song I was most looking forward to ever since they released the tracklisting. I figured it was going to be a surprise gem at the end of the album sort of like "Swallowed in the Sea" on X&Y!
