  9. A man has used energy drinks and vegetables to power his iPod without causing damage to the environment. Owen Louis, 21, dug two holes into an onion, poured in the drink and then placed his USB cable in the food for an hour, reports Metro. "I was watching TV with my laptop on and my iPod playing and thought, 'How much electricity must I be using?'" said Louis. "A friend showed me the experiment as a laugh but I thought it was the greatest thing I have ever seen, and do it religiously every day." Physics lecturer Phil Stubbles revealed that almost all vegetables mixed with energy drinks could power an iPod because of the mixture of ions. "The only problem is you have no control over how long it may work for... and it can be smelly," said Stubbles. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/odd/a136487/man-powers-ipod-with-vegetables.html
