  1. yeah, my birthday's WEDNESDAY!!!! None of you forget it :P and oh no, why was your day bad?
  2. wow, nonnnnne of mine do :stunned: man, where is everyone tonight? Liz just tweeted me... and Makayla's got that new job...
  3. haha ouch, one-way following :P yeah, all my friends make fun of twitter, but I think it's really convenient for getting in touch with people and staying on top of the news... I don't fill my twitter with self-involved tweets, the vast majority of them are @replies
  4. haha, no one knows I have twitter, my mom really hates it for some reason  It was a bit problematic when I had my device updates on because my phone was constantly going off... she kept going "WHO is texting you so much?!" my boyfriend and I text non-stop but he works all day, so she knew they weren't from him :uhoh:
  5. I can't tweet from my phone or my computer, unless I use Twitterrific or Twitpic  WTF? It's getting really irritating!
  6. yay! that's so cool! I have 3 picks, now we'll match :P by the way, is your twitter broken? it won't let me tweet from my phone or the web :angryL
  7. baaack! I didn't really eat though, my dad apparently keeps no food in the house
  8. Yay!!!!!!!! That's awesome :D I'll be back in a couple of minutes, I need to get something to eat... at 10:30... Jetlag's a bitch, even a week later :mean:
  9. ^ Really? I thought that was only Guy... *adds this piece of info to Coldplay trivia as well* :P
  10. yeah, I think I'd kinda want it to just be over, even if the scar is awful, but I don't really know  At least the surgery is over though! do your legs feel better?
  11. I hereby declare this the best thread ever  And I will add this piece of Chris Martin info to my Coldplay trivia... "Chris was born on 2 March 1977, he read ancient studies at UCL, oh and he wears Banana Republic boxers..." :sneaky: :P
  12. ewwwwwwww  Well at least your dad called to yell at them, right? Do you want the plastic surgery?
  13. Gash? story please! I think... is it going to give me nightmares? :uhoh: Oxford was amazingggggg! Although I'm still trying to recover from it, I'm still so tired! I explored Oxford like crazy, I know that city like the back of my hand now :freak: I learned a LOT too, and took a shitload of pictures (you know how long my facebook album is? that's less than 10% of my pictures :uhoh:) but yeah, it was really really great, although I missed the forum like WHOA :( Oh and my concert was SO FUCKING AMAZING :wacky: I have a link to my review in my sig, you should read it *hinthint* Paul McCartney was really awesome too  And now I'm back in DC until tomorrow afternoon, and I come home for good on the 24th  :D
  14. It was so great! *happy sigh* And thanks, you too :D so how are you????? I haven't really talked to you since what... July 3rd, I guess! :stunned: I've missed youuuuuuu!
  15. YES! Okay so this is the first time I've seen my boyfriend for two months, and he took me sailing at the National Harbor! And then we went back to his house, and I found out that he'd planned a whole surprise birthday party for me with all of my friends :cheesy: It was the sweetest thing anyone's ever done for me! :wacky: :wacky:
  16. MARISA! HI HI HI HI HI HI HI! wanna hear about my day? I wanna gush to someone :P
  17. :laugh3: :laugh3: :laugh3: Classic! Assignment 5: 1. Lost + AWAY FOREVER! 2. A Whisper  3. Reign of Love (cause it just ruins LIJ, how it's tacked onto the end :() 4. A Ghost 5. That one really bad performance on an awards show back in 05 (yes, so specific, I know) Assignment 6: The fact that they do runners every night when they tour the US :disappointed: Assignment 7: I think it'd have to be Live 03 for me too :nice: Assignment 8: :will: Although I think Chris could be a close second, he's quite fit! Assignment 9: I've never had alcohol but I think Guy or Phil would be the last standing
  18. I call this post "Zoe's guide to DC" :P Hmmm, okay... so for museums, the only non-Smithsonian one that I'd recommend is the Newseum, it's really cool and it's right on Pennsylvania Ave, you can't miss it. It's all about the history of the media, and they just completely revamped it, it was closed for almost 10 years! But it's expensive... Other than that, you should really just wander around all the Smithsonians, they're all free so you can just see what you want and move onto the next one  The new Ocean Hall in Natural History is supposed to be awesome, but I haven't seen it yet :bigcry: If you need to eat in a Smithsonian I recommend the National Gallery, because places like Air & Space just have gross fast food  But I highly recommend all the Smithsonians (just not food-wise :P) Also if you want something more serious you can go to the Holocaust Museum, it's fantastic but very intense. In terms of memorials, if you want to go to the top of the Washington Monument you need to get there really fucking early to get a ticket (unless they've changed the system). I love the Jefferson Memorial :wacky: and some of the newer ones like the WWII one are great too... Places where locals (like me! :D) go are places like Dupont Circle, Adams Morgan, to a lesser extent Georgetown (which has amazing food and shopping but can get pretty expensive)... They all have amazing restaurants  other little things- on the metro escalators STAND RIGHT WALK LEFT or we'll end up meeting when I push you down the escalator screaming in frustration  Seriously, it's every Washingtonian's biggest pet peeve. Try to see things other than the Mall attractions, because as cool as they are, there's a TON of other stuff around, I promise. and fun fact- if you drive down a road called Foxhall Road in Northwest and see an old house with a bunch of big white buildings, that's my school!  THE END. Phew! I  DC :wacky:
  19. sorry, the commute thing was to Makayla... and I already saw him! I saw him last night :nice: And give me 5 minutes to think of stuff to do here, there's a lot :P
  20. Oooh, gotcha :nice: As someone who's grown up in DC where we have the 2nd-worst traffic in the country, I just despise any form of commute  that's why I just walk/take the metro everywhere  edit: oooh, for vacation? want any DC recommendations?
  21. Nope, my boyfriend's taking me sailing tomorrow :D so why are you coming all the way over here? yeah, that's why I was confused! So you have to commute kinda, ewwwwww :P Why didn't you wait and try to get something right in Denver?
  22. ^ So is the job right near your school? I never realized that you live that close to Denver, I always thought you were far off in the depths of Colorado :P haha, so if I meet any French person I should assume it's you? And it's supposed to be 100 degrees tomorrow and Sunday :bigcry:
  23. at least it's keeping you busy, right? so you're going to keep doing it while you're at school?
  24. hiiiiiiii, how was work??? are you as awesome as I predicted? :P
