  1. Oh, awesome, it's the same time there that it is here! So it'll be on that justin.tv link at 11PM for me, then? That's not too late at all :)
  2. Ew, my mom was just watching the results show, and she showed me the few seconds that they showed of his performance on the recap. It was horrible! Why did he ever think he could pull that off?
  3. Awww, I still get so excited whenever I see that there's a new post in this thread... :disappointed:
  4. yeah, I think I'm off too. I've finished my Aristotle and now I need to sort out my math which takes all of my concentration. Good night, everyone!
  5. Anytime  And this is so exciting, Joe! You'll have to keep us updated :D Would you move to London?
  6. Well I was actually living and studying over there all summer, so no, it wasn't really a holiday. I wasn't running around taking pictures, traveling from town to town and acting like a tourist. I'm doing the same thing this coming summer (the living & studying).
  7. Can you stop? He's excited about a big change in his life, you don't need to stomp on it. And I've spent a lot of time in England and I haven't been disappointed! People never like their native countries as much as other countries. Yeah, I've already done a lot of research about it- my current Latin teacher did the same thing (except he obviously came back eventually).
  8. Good for you, Joe! *is jealous* I think I'm going to go to graduate school in England, and then stay there after that :nice:
  9. My family is from Poland! Well, it's a couple of generations back now... I think my great-grandparents moved here when they were kids  And I had to represent Poland for Model UN this year! /random Polish talk :P
  10. Oh, awesome! My sister's an Ancient Greek studies & political science major, and she's obsessed with Plato. I'm a Latinist, but I adore philosophy and the Greeks as well, so I love my Aristotle class :D You can't go wrong with the Classics :P
  11. I wasn't saying "crazy" as in "insane", I meant it more colloquially. Nor do I think he's wrong or am I trying to judge Ancient Greek philosophy in 21st century situations. You just completely misunderstood me ;) I want to be a Classicist and have been studying all of this pretty extensively for a while now, I think I know how to approach this stuff. But the more you study Aristotle, the more apparent the loopholes in his philosophies become.
  12. People jump down my throat whenever I come into the Lounge :dozey:
  13. Well I've been taking a class on Aristotle all year, and some of his ideas on human nature and virtue are just odd. And his explanations become more and more circular the further into his work you get, which can be frustrating.
  14. Ugh. :bigcry: But that time I just somehow managed to fall asleep deeply enough in 5 minutes to sleep through 3 alarms- I didn't turn them off/move the time forward. Guys... Aristotle was one crazy dude.
  15. Oooooooh. Right. :dunce: Give me a break, it's almost 12:30AM :P I talk to my mom in my sleep when I take naps after school... She'll call up to my room and be like "Are you awake?" and I'll be like "I'm awake and working my homework!" in my sleep. I also have the unfortunate talent of being able to reset my alarm clock/move the alarm time forward like 12 hours in my sleep. It causes a lot of problems :laugh3:
  16. Um, how would I know if I'm asleep? :P *puts LIJ acoustic on repeat and starts reading Aristotle* Don't worry, I'm not leaving ;)
  17. I wish I could think like that... I actually enjoy school, though, cause I'm weird :P
  18. So many people... just as I was getting myself motivated to do my homework :uhoh: Oh well *stays* :P
  19. Wow, I disappear for like 5 minutes and suddenly everyone is here! :stunned: edit: ^ I was about to suggest live 03! And you are seeing Coldplay! ... Wait, so am I! :surprised:
  20. :stunned: That's not...grey hair, is it? Cause if it is, he must be having a nervous breakdown over it :P
