:thinking: Methinks these negative reviewers must be listening to a different EP than the one I've got playing on repeat on my iPod... Because what I'm listening to is a fucking brilliant collection of songs (minus the rap in Lost+, no pun intended)! I just don't understand these Coldplay-hater reviews...

After mulling over the poll for a while, I chose 9/10. My only problem with the EP is, like most people, the addition of the remixes. I just think the EP could've had a much better flow without Lost+ and LIJ... I made a playlist on my iPod without those two, and it sounds great. The songs are short, but I don't think that's a reason to mark the EP down in any way. If these were album songs, I'm sure they'd be expanded, but the fact is that they're not album songs. Overall, it's just an incredible EP. It really has a bit of everything- experimentation, old Coldplay, great lyrics, #1 single-worthy melodies, and just great work all around. To get all that from a little EP is unbelievably rare, and shows just how great Coldplay is. As hard as I try, I can't see how this in any way a "VLV wannabe", other than the fact that both have strings. I think it has a great guitar hook, melody and general sound, and it's just so different. I think that's why people (including me) like it so much. I believe it depends if you've been craving some old-school mellow Coldplay, or to hear them push the envelope. Personally I've been craving it all, so I love it all! :P

For the people a couple of pages back who were wondering when it leaked- It leaked at about 1:45 AM EST last night... It was an incredibly long night for all, since first someone who had it already teased us by posting about it, but then refused to leak it. People got embarrassingly nasty, but then someone else (are we allowed to say names?) found it at Kmart and leaked it for us! After listening to it about a billion times today, I can say that this EP only gets better the more you listen! Especially Glass of Water :D

The more I listen, the more I think it sounds really mid-Beatles, like Sgt. Pepper through the White Album... The beginning of Rainy Day with the piano and sound effects, NMFWTTG with the drums and horns, etc. - SO Beatley! Which = perfect to me :D Who didn't?! I cried...

I'm euphoric. Okay: LIT2- SO worth the wait, it's just a great song. Period. Postcards- Has such a great atmosphere, it feels really emotional and personal Glass of Water- Brilliant! I love when the instruments come back in at 3:45 :D Rainy Day- Wow. Just... wow! Prospekt's- Only listened once, but the chorus is gorgeous Lost+ and LIJ- Haven't really listened, too excited about the new songs NMFWTTG- Not like I imagined, but still absolutely breathtaking, love the end If I had to describe it in one word, I think it'd be "beautiful" :heart:

Any component that reviewers claimed was missing in VLV can be found in these songs. Seriously... Now that I've heard the EP, I can't imagine VLV without it, and vice versa. Edit: and the jump from Postcards to GoW= AWESOME!

Too good... can't take it... going to explode :bomb: Although Lost+ and LIJ remix seem a bit out of place... I think it's just cause they're so familiar, though.

Prospekt's March is so beautiful!! Rainy Day is crazyyy, LOVE the horns in NMFWTTG... still need to listen to Postcards and GoW...
