Thanks for posting! Not only is Chris brilliantly funny, but he and the others in the band for that matter always turn out to be incredibly modest, and that is the more commendable, as they have achieved so much. Modesty is definitely a sign of wisdom. I'm glad to see that they are staying true to their music, even now and are STILL not buying into the whole "celebrity hype" thing. Good for them! :)

Amm.... I wouldn't say that U2s time is coming up.. :\I'm sure they will still be able to come up with great new albums and I think their fans are the kind that will stick by them come what may. But, it IS true that Coldplay are reaching their heyday and they have to become greater than U2 ever was. And I would like to say, again how AWESOME Coldplay is on stage and what a great perfomer Chris is. I will not hear otherwise!!! :veryangry2: :P

I actually happen to think that most Coldplay fans like U2 as well, and are being very objective when talking about the 2 bands, as you can see in this thread. Yours, however, is a very biased point of view. For instance, saying: "does anyone here at least agree chris martin is very awkward on stage and when singing live has the voice of an animal caged up with a bad case of rabies" is no way to start a U2 vs Coldplay debate on a Coldplay forum. It's one thing for Coldplay fans to preserve an objective tone, but when you post something like this, you can expect the talk to take a tricky turn. And why would anyone want that? I mean, we could forever find silly names to define Bono and Chris's singing, style or whatever, but to what end? We're all mature people here, right? That having been said, I'm both a Coldplay and a U2 fan. it's just that, as someone else here said, I enjoy Coldplay better. AND I've seen Coldplay perform and Chris Martin is just great on stage, his singing and the way he relates to the audience. That is pure entertainment. P.S.: Funny that I see this post today, cause I've just watched Celebrity Death Match: Bono vs Chris Martin, on MTV, and it was HILARIOUS!!:lol:
