  1. Unless something has changed recently, you can't cancel tickets bought for shows at the ACC. I think you need ID to enter with the VIP ones too, no? If they're the AMEX ones then you need your card for sure - My guess is you'll have to find someone to buy them off of you and hope you can transfer to their name... Hopefully you're able to work something out!
  2. Oh wow, haha yes you should be able to!! :P Did you get a chance to try for the VIP tickets then? I had some great ones in my cart during presale but didn't want to pay $275-425 a ticket for them lol :( Luckily, they're the one band that I think can make any venue feel like an intimate one :)
  3. 104 isn't a great spot, personally I'd take the 300 levels closer to the stage over those - You're much closer there! Even if it is more of a side view...
  4. 310 is actually a great view! I saw my first Coldplay concert with a similar view and it remains one of my most favourite experiences even though I've since seen them super close! Don't worry, it'll be AMAZING :)
  5. Yay! Thanks for posting that! Confirms what I thought and was hoping for - My friend and I's seats are right on the aisle! Perfection. Tried searching for better seats this morning but I didn't have anything great coming up... Oh well, I'm more than happy with my spot now!!! :) Now to commence the brutally long wait 'til July! haha
  6. So this morning at 10am I tried for tickets using the pre-sales for the second show. I had other peeps in the office helping me search so that I could get a good ticket - Was only searching for a single as you can usually get a better seat going alone. Well, I got Centre Floor Row 24 - Not the best since I've seen them from SO close before but I decided to buy 'cause it's better than not seeing them at all! Then the craziest thing happened - About 5-10 mins later, my friend who was still searching for me here somehow gets the seat RIGHT beside me - What are the odds?!! Was obviously fate so she's now coming with - Hopefully the seats end up being not so bad :) Hope everyone else is having some luck today too!! :)
  7. Depending on where exactly you are in the section it shouldn't be too bad - I saw Coldplay from 319 once (directly above 117 if I remember correctly) and the view was amazing - My friend and I were really happy with the seats! I can only imagine 117 would be similar + better...
  8. I'd sell the row 44's (that's literally at the very back of the floor) and keep the 117/110's - You'll have a much better view of the show even if it is a side-view... You'll only see heads in your way being that far back on the floor at the ACC - The stage just isn't high enough for that!
  9. Yeup, VIP ones... It actually goes beyond the first 10 rows - The closest we could find here at $131 was row 26... I saw everything up to about row 15 for sure so far going for $275, and anything under 10 for $425. $131 is more than reasonable - I've paid much more.. I just wish they'd give all fans a fair chance at good tickets at this price. I'm sure it's in an effort to curb scalping but I don't see why they don't just sell the best seats through their website like other bands and just require ID at entry - This seems like the best/fairest method to me! Oh well, hopefully there's atleast a few non-VIP tickets in these sections that fans will have a shot at on Saturday!
  10. So quite the disappointing morning... Searched for tickets using the AMEX presale - Found both a row 5 floor, and a row 10 floor - Extremely excited... Until I saw the prices!!! $425 and $275. I'm a little disgusted - I absolutely LOVE this band and seeing them live but I'm so sick of having to spend hundreds of dollars every time I see them just to have a good seat. It's ridiculous. They put on amazing shows, however they are indeed rather short compared to others - I can't see myself spending that much money yet again. I hope there are more good seats available during the general sale for $131 - They didn't seem to be selling any of the really good 100 lvl tickets this time around so maybe there's hope! Anyone else not so happy about this?
  11. Well to put it simply - The show was amazing! My friend and I were a couple people back from the stage and it was awesome! The rain made for an interesting 3hr wait, haha but I love rain so it was good fun! I must say though, a little disappointed with some people in the crowd tonight - Umbrellas in my face during the wait when we were told not to bring them, and constantly being hit by large bags/backpacks (other items no one should have brought into the lot). And the guy behind me definitely ruined a good chunk of the show for me... Screaming the lyrics to every song (even the slow ones) and making guitar noises, etc. with his mouth all completely out of key and to the point where I could hear him more than Chris sometimes, and then he constantly commented on every single thing. I understand we are all excited but I thought that was just rude. Aside from some people, was a solid night... I love photography and usually have my camera out taking pics through concerts but I left it in my bag the whole time, and took a couple with my friend's cam then we put away. We decided just to enjoy the show and super glad we did! :) Tried watching the video up on the Much website but ready to pass out! So very glad I sit in a chair all day at work tmrw - I can barely feel my feet! :) Hope everyone else who was there had a great time!
  12. I wouldn't risk bringing it... Besides a) It might (likely) rain, b) Do you really want to be fooling around with SLR settings during a show like this? I know what you mean, huge hobby photographer myself who loves taking pics at shows but even I'm just bringing my smallest crappiest little cam! It's hard, because the shots would be amazing with the TV lighting too, but shows like this just don't come around too often... Even the band made a comment about that at a show I was at once, I believe - How people take all these pictures and end up watching the show through a lens instead of just taking it all in! I'm certainly guilty, haha.
  13. No problem! Thnks for posting that scan, btw! Huge help. From what I understood from security, it sounds like it starts right about where I took the picture I posted above... There are a few large light and camera set ups right in the middle so hopefully you can stand off to the side a bit to avoid them... The stage seems tall enough that height shouldn't be too much of a problem :) If I don't have time to post again - Enjoy the show!!! :)
  14. Just read some of the recent posts quick - The weather network has been wrong quite a bit lately, and I'm willing to bet, if anything, we get some light showers and maybe a few rumbles! Just wear a light jacket or sweater with a hood and you'll be fine :) There will definitely be enough body heat from the crowd to stay warm. I'm sort of a crazy person that absolutly loves being outside in the rain, and have secretly always wanted to attend an outdoor show in the rain so regardless of how the weather turns out this thing is gonna be amazing!! :)
  15. Just another quick post before I pass out (sadly way past my bedtime, haha)... Stopped by Much a short while ago to scope out the stage and chat with security. In addition to what I posted earlier, here is some new info: - Rogers WOB "ticket" holders will be the ones actually in the lot, which btw there is seriously NO bad view from any spot in there!! - There will be a second barrier area right behind this for people who have wristbands. - Behind this will be the general crowd off the street. - So essentially there are three different sections... Rogers winners being the only ones with access close to the stage ("The Lot"). With this in mind, I dunno if it's worth it for people to spend the entire day in line to be honest, and if you have a WOB ticket and a friend has a wristband it looks like you will be in different sections (if that applies to anyone). Also, was told there will likely be bathrooms provided, as I know that question was raised on here. Hmm, I hope that was all! Here is a pic I snapped of the stage :) As you can see, no such thing as a bad view... I even made a point of checking out the view from the very far side across the street and it is still incredible - If you don't have tickets or wristbands I highly recommend you still come down to watch from the street! :) http://yfrog.com/mfx2xpkj
  16. Hey all! Need to head out soon so no time to read posts from the last little bit so sorry if anyone has already answered any of this... I've been using twitter, etc. today back and forth with Much and Rogers in between projects at work, lol, and just wanted to share the following info I have been given: - There are two separate gates: One for WBO tickets (Rogers) and one for wristbands (Queen Street). - The Rogers gate opens at 5:45pm and WBO ticket holders have a full hour advantage on grabbing spots, as wristbanders are not given entry until 6:45pm. This is excellent news for people like me that have to work 'til 5pm! No need to rush (unless you're keen on front row I suppose) as as far as I'm concerned, there's no such thing as a bad view in a crowd of less than 400 people ;). - At 7:30pm Much will be opening the gate to people off the street so if you have a WBO ticket or a wristband get there before then or else you will likely lose your guaranteed good to decent view. - Queen Street doesn't officially close until 7:30pm so if you're planning on heading down without a ticket you may want to keep that in mind. - You are allowed to bring one disposable water bottle into the gates, however the cap will be removed upon entry. Hope I'm not forgetting anything! I'm going to try to get a glimpse of the stage if I have time tonight, and will try to post pics later if I do! GET EXCITED! THIS IS GOING TO BE ONE INCREDIBLE SHOW!!!! Can't wait to hear "Paradise" live, and sincerely hoping they play "Everything's Not Lost" as I've noticed they have been lately!
  17. I thought I saw somewhere that people who got wristbands received some sort of paper with information on it - Such as entry times, and what items you can and cannot bring in the lot... If so, is anyone here able to scan and post that? I'm a hardcore planner, and the wireless ticket + lack of info makes me nervous, especially for such an amazing event!
  18. That would actually be super sweet of you if actually possible :) My friend and I have the wireless tickets text msg from Rogers though - Is there a difference between those and the wristbands? We get off work at 5 so I'm really hoping we'll make it up there by 5:45pm... We're only a couple of subway stops away but you never know in this city! I wonder how long the line-up will be by the time they start letting people in? I'm guessing that they probably only gave out about 1000 tickets based on lot size so I'm hoping that the view will be great regardless - Fingers crossed! I can't say enough how excited I am for Wednesday to get here!!!!!
  19. I've been wondering the same things! Especially about in and out privileges/bathrooms/food... 4hrs + is a good amount of time to be standing in one place, lol. The show is being aired LIVE, which means yeup it starts at 9 and goes to 10pm. 6-8pm is when they are allowing entry ("doors")... After 8pm you won't be able to get into the show...
  20. WOW!! It's already set-up? I was going to head over Tuesday after work to check it out but maybe I'll go today or tomorrow then... From the looks of it, won't be possible to have a bad spot for the show :) Which is good because I'm worried that since I actually have to work 'til 5, the younger crowd and non-9-5ers will have already lined up for the good spots by then :\ which rather sucks... I'm thinking under 1000 for crowd size based on this pic... Excited!!

  22. I'm pretty sure I read the Wednesday wristband thing on the Much Facebook group so maybe double-check there :) I think they're releasing more details on the Much blog tomorrow!
  23. Ya I thought that too originally! However, I can't remember where I saw the exact quote but I think either the Rogers or Much Facebook group - Doors are for sure 6pm (to 8pm), and show is for sure 9pm-10pm... I'll try to find the link for all to read! It's a live stream of the show that is airing so if the schedule says it's on at 9pm it must start then... Hopefully details are made more clear before the show!
  24. ^ They're giving away more tix on Wednesday (for non-Rogers folks)... You just have to go down to MuchMusic for 5pm and bring ID proving that you are over 14, I believe. It's only one wristband per person though - like, you can't grab a second for a friend.
  25. Wow, even though "doors" are at 5:45pm, was just looking at MuchMusic's schedule, and looks like this thing doesn't start 'til 9pm, and is only being streamed for an hour... Hopefully they play a little extra for the live crowd! "9:00 PM Live In The Lot: Coldplay: (HD) MuchMusic and Rogers Communications join forces to deliver ROGERS PRESENTS: LIVE IN THE LOT WITH COLDPLAY.
