Linguistics and education. I love it. I started off college by doing Biology for two months but it just wasn't for me. Then I got offered the course I'm doing now and never looked back :nice:

Yeah there was this one girl in my high school who excelled in her studies and at the same time dances very well. She said she wanted to be a professional dancer one day and people's reaction to that was..'But why? It's such a loss. You should do medicine' WTF.

People in my country has this tendency to encourage people to do science and look down upon people who do arts. I hate it.

Thank you for saying that :hug: Sorry to hear about your family's situation. Hopefully things will turn the other way round for you and your family :wink: And I'll try to work things out with her. At the end of the day, I do think that she's a nice person and that's what important I guess. Plus there must be certain things that I do that she has to put up for too, and that's what friendship is all about. People know how she is so there's no need to do that. Plus I wouldn't want to make it even worse by highlighting her bad sides to everyone. However, I do agree that confronting might be affective, but I have to build the courage to do that in a way that will not ruin our relationship first. Which I found pretty hard to do.
