I had so much fun shopping for things to represent Houston and Coldplay that were unique. The mirror and guitar picks were part of the US VIP package from their concert in Dallas. I'll be there on the floor with a co-worker! We'll be in section D, row 3. I would have totally gone by myself if she had not wanted to pay for the VIP experience. I bet you'll be surrounded by new best friends before the end of the night!

Whew! Thanks for that info. I'm sad the smaller stage will not be part of the layout- our seats would have been perfect for that. Either way, it will be a fantastic show!

I did not hear about any reconfiguration of floor seats....can someone give any details? I've got tickets in section D, row 3, seats 13 & 14. Hoping my seats were not affected. SO excited to see these guys again, even if it's in Jerry World.

I'm right there with you Dianne!! It seems like I am always the "oldest" in the rows at the concerts I attend. I started loving the band around 1999 when I was pregnant with my youngest (now 13) and have been a loyal fan ever since. Now that I am pushing the big 4-0, I still can't see a day when I would not attend a show or go crazy watching a tv special like I did last night. I may be older than their label's considered target audience, but I love those 4 guys!

I did! I love the tshirts we got as part of the package, as well as a keychain and a numbered lithograph. I cannot wait until tonight! The VIP party starts at 5:30 - not sure what it entails, but there is food and a free bar! So very excited and cannot wait to see my boys again!!:D I'll be in row 7, seats 3 and 4. Hope to see many of you there!

We must have similar tastes, Dianne - Ray LaMontagne is the only other band I cared about seeing Friday as well. He is amazing live. It worked out great that he and CP are playing the same stage. I guess I'll have to gauge things after his show is over to see if I need to stay put through the Bright Eyes (never heard of them!) to save our place or if I'll be able to leave and come back. At least if we are all together, we can save our area if one needs to head to the bathroom or is in need of food/adult beverages. ;) Wishing all of you the best of luck tonight trying to get into the taping...please keep me posted and let me know if you make it inside. Add +1 - Susan! LOL Dianne - my hubby feels the same way! He likes CP just fine, but my constant rotation of their music has worn on him a bit. Thank God he still indulges me, though! I'll do whatever I can to get up front Friday as well. Hubby may have to hang back a bit with my 10 year old, but I'll be ready to get my elbows out, too, since I'm only 5'4". But when it comes to my "boys", I can act 6'2"!! :wink3: I look forward to meeting all of you & wish all of you safe travels today & tomorrow!!! Susan

Hi Dianne - Austin traffic is notoriously bad, especially during that time of day around the airport. I would be really surprised if you could get your bags, get a cab, go to the hotel and get back to the venue by 6. You could pray to the CP gods to have favor on you for good measure, but I would think that time frame would really be pushing it. Since it's "hypothetical", any chance you could get an earlier flight??;)
